Graphic Design Manager Apply Now Apply Later Job ID 10107358 Location Lake Buena Vista, Florida, United States Business Walt Disney World Resort Date posted Dec. 09, 2024 Job Summary: About the Role & Team As the Graphic Design Manager, you will provide creative support for Walt Disney Parks & Resorts (East Coast) and related Intellectual Property. You will be responsible for the creative direction, development, delivery, and sustainment of a portfolio of work supporting Walt Disney Parks & Resorts Guests and Cast.If selected, you will lead a team of 1-2 graphic designers while working seamlessly with the Operations Planning leadership team. This role is responsible for producing and leading visual communications, including guidemaps, booklets, guides, wayfinding tools, temporary signage, presentations, and more for use externally and internally.You must be highly motivated, partner with peers inside and outside of the creative space and have a proactive approach to work and leadership. You should be highly creative, forward-thinking, positive, and able to handle projects at all levels of complexity. You'll meet deadlines under pressure while maintaining high quality standards under minimal supervision.This is a full-time opportunity, reporting to the Manager, Creative Integration supporting Walt Disney World Operations.Please include your portfolio of graphic design work either as an attachment with your resume or as a link within your resume.What You Will Do• Lead a graphic design team through implementation of assigned projects• Develop variety of creative solutions for project work at all stages from concept design through the preparation of print and delivery• Ensure that client goals are met by working closely with integration, production and operational teams as needed• Prepare specific deliverables including print pieces, onsite support tactics, creative for environmental support, and supporting digital graphics• Have advanced skills in graphic design, illustration, typography, branding, and The Walt Disney Company core leadership principles• Lead team of graphic designers and other support team members• Proactively communicate and coordinate with others in the organization, and as part of a larger, multidiscipline project team• Serve as Graphic Design representative at project team meetings• May influence department or project team based on specific expertise or previous experienceRequired Qualifications & Skills• Minimum 5 years of experience in Graphic Design practice• Proven leadership experience of a skilled design team• Demonstrated thoughtful design and artistic skills in solving design challenges• Demonstrated ability in Adobe Creative Cloud and digital illustration tools such as Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, and MS Office Suite• Knowledge of wayfinding principles and infographics• Knowledge of all phases of a creative development and implementationPreferred Qualifications• Leadership experience within The Walt Disney CompanyEducation• Bachelor's degree from an accredited program or equivalent work experience in a creative spaceBenefits and PerksDisney offers a rewards package to help you live your best life.
