Family Health Centers of San Diego (FHCSD) is looking for an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist to work under supervision of the assigned Site Coordinator/Site Manager.  You will provide mental health assessment and counseling services to a diverse patient population, while gaining the hours and experience necessary for licensure with the State of California.
                                                            
Responsibilities:

  • Complete all required documentation accurately, in a timely manner, and thoroughly in accordance with department standards; in addition, documentation complies with patients' insurance requirements.
  • Perform initial and on-going assessments for assigned patients.
  • Participate in development of patients' individualized care plans, in a timely and thorough manner.
  • Provide treatment to assigned patients within scope of practice, meeting program/department productivity and quality standards.
  • Proactively utilize clinical supervision and/or peer consultation.
  • Demonstrate awareness of transference and counter-transference issues and address them as they arise.
  • Address co-occurring disorders, factoring them into patient's treatment plan.
  • Demonstrate clinical skills and judgment necessary to implement the treatment plan.
  • Work effectively as a member of the multi-disciplinary treatment team.
  • Communicate with providers, physicians, case managers, scheduling staff, referring providers, and with outside agencies and authorities, in a timely and appropriate manner.
  • Connect patients to internal/external resources as appropriate, and accurately document referrals.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Master’s Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy, Psychology, Counseling Psychology, or closely related field required.
  • Current California registration as a Registered Associate Marriage and Family Therapist.
  • Current American Heart Association healthcare provider CPR (BLS), or Advanced Cardiac Life Support, Advanced Trauma Life Support, or Advance Resuscitation Training required.
  • Meet organization driving requirements.

In the spirit of pay transparency, we are excited to share the base range for this position, exclusive of fringe benefits.

$35.00 - $39.35

If you are hired at Family Health Centers of San Diego, your final base salary compensation will be determined based on factors such as geographic location, jurisdictional requirements, skills, education, and/or experience. In addition to these factors – we believe in the importance of pay equity and consider internal equity of our current team members as a part of any final offer. Please keep in mind that the range mentioned above is what we reasonably expect to pay for the role. Hiring at the maximum of the range would not be typical in order to allow for future and continued salary growth.
