The Opportunity:
Flywire is seeking a Director of Technical Accounting to assist in revenue recognition and various technical accounting matters to ensure compliance with generally accepted accounting principles, corporate policies, and internal & external audits. This role will report to our VP of Technical Accounting and External Reporting.
The ideal candidate possesses leadership capabilities, solid operational and technical accounting background and works proactively to drive results. In addition, a successful candidate must have the ability to operate effectively in a rapidly scaling and dynamic environment
Location:
Remote but within the Boston or surrounding geography to periodically be able to meet in person in our Boston office location
What You'll Do:
Here’s what we are looking for:
7+ years of relevant experience from public accounting and/or public multinational SAAS or payment processing companies, Big 4 experience and CPA is strongly preferred
Excellent understanding of US GAAP accounting principles with a strong knowledge of revenue recognition principles within ASC 606 Revenues from contracts with customers
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
Highly organized, detail-oriented, resourceful, & self-motivated with a desire for continuous improvement
Strong interpersonal, project management, oral and written communication skills
Ability to work with various business partners and influence decision making

Netsuite, Floqast, Looker, G-Suite, & Microsoft office products
