At Heartstrings Pet Hospice, we are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Part Time Veterinarian to join our team in Baton Rouge, LA. If you're yearning for a transition from traditional clinic settings, this role might be perfect for you! Imagine providing in-home care that allows you to reconnect deeply with pet families during one of life's most challenging moments. You’ll have the opportunity to focus on what truly matters – ensuring pets pass peacefully at home, surrounded by their loved ones. Our veterinarians enjoy generous appointment times, minimal administrative work, and a supportive environment. You will see an average of just 3-4 appointments per day, allowing you to build meaningful connections and receive heartfelt appreciation from families. Here, work-life balance isn't just a phrase; it's a priority. With flexible scheduling options ranging from 2 to 5 days a week, and most appointments scheduled between 9 am and 5 pm, you can truly have the life you want and the career you love. In addition to your core responsibilities of providing in-home euthanasia and hospice care for geriatric and terminally ill pets, you'll also guide families in their end-of-life decisions, fostering a compassionate and supportive environment. You should have a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM/VMD/BVMS) and at least one year of practical experience. Plus, we value ongoing training and mentorship to help you thrive.
