About Professional Services Team
The team plays a critical role in solving real world problems to ship and implement great experiences to Hugohub's clients across the globe. As a Design Engineer on our Professional Services team, you’ll play a key role in automating and configuring design elements and as well as crafting visually compelling communication for our global clients. 

Job Summary:

We are looking for a detail oriented Design Engineer to join our Professional Services team with strong logical and analytical thinking to write scripts and configure design elements within Figma and other design tools. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of design tools like Figma, Adobe Creative Suite and be capable of writing scripts to automate, customize, and integrate design components efficiently to enhance design workflows. This role requires a blend of technical proficiency in programming and a solid grasp of UI design workflows including Branding, Illustrations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop scripts and automation tools to configure and automate design workflows,  improve efficiency, and ensure consistency.
• Configure and optimize design elements, templates, and components within Figma or other design platforms.
• Write custom scripts/plugins to extend the functionality of design tools.
• Maintain design system components and ensure their proper implementation in PS driven projects.
• Maintain and enhance the design system, ensuring scalable and reusable components.
• Support UI design efforts by configuring, updating UI Kits branded for different clients and applying these to different wireframes.
• Apply accessibility and usability principles to visual and UI design.
• Collaborate closely with the Design team on understanding design processes and workflows.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Good understanding of JavaScript, Python, or similar scripting languages.
• Experience with Figma APIs, plugins, and automation.
• Experience in building custom plugins for Figma or similar design tools.
• Proficiency in Figma and Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop). Knowledge of After Effects is a plus.
• Proficiency in UI design principles including understanding of design systems and UI patterns
• Strong analytical, logical thinking and problem-solving skills and ability to work in cross-functional teams.
• Understanding of design tokens, variables, and reusable components in UI systems.
• Familiarity with HTML, CSS, and front-end frameworks is a plus.
• Experience working with RESTful APIs for tool integration is a plus.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Familiarity with motion graphics, animations and interactive elements.
