General Manager - Construction

A family-owned remodeling company, specializing in multifamily community renovations, is looking for an experienced and results-driven General Manager to lead the organization to the next step in growth by formalizing the organizational structure. Currently operating in Warminster, PA, the General Manager will be responsible for overseeing daily operations, managing staff and subcontractors, ensuring high-quality project execution, and driving business growth. This role requires strong leadership, operational expertise, and a passion for delivering top-tier home renovation services

Position Overview

An experienced professional is needed to fill a dual-role position as General Manager and HR Manager. This key leadership position will be responsible for establishing formal management structures while overseeing daily operations and human resources functions.

Key Responsibilities

Operations Management (60%)

  • Help establish and implement formal business structures and processes
  • Oversee daily office operations and administrative functions
  • Develop and implement operational policies and procedures to improve efficiency and service quality
  • Monitor project costs and profitability, making adjustments to maximize efficiency
  • Ensure compliance with building codes, safety regulations, and industry standards
  • Oversee daily office operations and administrative functions
  • Coordinate between different departments (operations, sales, office staff)
  • Act as main point of contact for clients, ensuring their needs and expectations are met
  • Resolve customer concerns and ensure exceptional service throughout all project phases
  • Utilize project management software to track progress and maintain records
  • Support sales and business development efforts
  • Participate in generating leads and developing sales strategies
  • Assist with overseeing marketing efforts, including online presence
  • Contribute to growth strategies and business expansion plans

Human Resources (40%)

  • Formalize and manage HR systems and processes
  • Lead recruitment, training, and performance management of employees
  • Manage personnel documentation and compliance requirements
  • Oversee benefits administration (medical, dental, vision, life insurance, disability)
  • Conduct performance evaluations
  • Handle employee relations issues
  • Ensure compliance with employment laws and regulations

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Construction, or related field
  • 5+ years of management experience, preferably with general management responsibilities
  • Experience establishing business systems and processes
  • Human resources experience and knowledge of HR best practices
  • Strong organizational and leadership skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Ability to work effectively with diverse teams
  • Construction or remodeling industry experience
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) capabilities (preferred)
  • Knowledge of multifamily construction/renovation projects
