Farmington, Maine  

 

E. L. Vining & Son is seeking a Payroll Specialist & Bookkeeper, to be based in their Farmington, ME location.  This is a full-time, hands-on position responsible for processing weekly payroll, maintaining payroll data and records as well as bookkeeping duties including accounts payable and accounts receivable. 


Requirements of the Payroll Specialist & Bookkeeper:
  • Minimum 3 to 5 years proven experience in a similar role 
  • Experience with payroll processing and related tasks 
  • Knowledge of tax laws and compliance regarding payroll 
  • Experience in AP/AR  
  • Attention to detail and emphasis on accuracy 
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality 
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills 
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Excel 
  • Knowledge of payroll systems; SAGE 300 experience preferred 
  • Ability to commute to Farmington, ME Monday through Friday

Responsibilities of the Payroll Specialist & Bookkeeper:
  • Prepare and disburse weekly payroll accurately and on time. 
  • Update payroll records for status changes, tax updates, direct deposit, and deductions. 
  • Accounts Payable dutiesto include matching invoices to PO’s, paying invoices and entering invoices. 
  • Accounts Receivable duties such as entering payments and producing monthly customer statements and cash requirement reports.
