Job Description: Chief Financial Officer (CFO)

Role Overview
The CFO will be responsible for the overall financial strategy and management of the company. This role involves leading financial operations, ensuring financial health, managing risk, and providing strategic financial guidance to the CEO and board. The ideal candidate will have experience working within the pharmaceutical industry, understanding its unique financial and regulatory complexities.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and manage the financial strategy, planning, and analysis (FP&A) to support the company’s growth and profitability.
Oversee all financial operations including accounting, tax, treasury, risk management, and investor relations.
Provide strategic financial input to the executive team and board of directors.
Ensure compliance with pharmaceutical industry regulations, including SOX compliance and FDA financial reporting requirements.
Develop and implement financial controls and reporting systems to manage the company’s assets and financial integrity.
Drive financial modeling for new product development, market expansion, and mergers & acquisitions.
Manage relationships with banks, auditors, investors, and other external stakeholders.
Lead efforts in budgeting, forecasting, and performance analysis.
Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting to meet company, regulatory, and investor needs.
Lead risk management efforts, including operational and strategic risks associated with the pharmaceutical industry.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field (Master's degree or MBA preferred).
CPA or CFA certification preferred.
Minimum of 10 years of financial leadership experience, with at least 5 years in a CFO role.
Experience working in the pharmaceutical industry is highly preferred.
Strong knowledge of pharmaceutical financial regulations and compliance.
Proven experience with financial strategy, FP&A, and leading complex financial operations.
Excellent leadership, communication, and decision-making skills.
Experience with mergers & acquisitions and raising capital is a plus.
