NIWC Engineer, Computer I

Position Summary

MAG currently has an opening for an Engineer, Computer I to support the Naval Information Warfare Center Atlantic (NIWC Atlantic).  This is an exciting opportunity to use your experience helping the cybersecurity implementations and operations, advanced technology, and project management services mission.  In this mission, we provide engineering and technical services with operational support located in Charleston SC.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Researches, designs, develops, and tests computer systems.
  • Specializes in hardware or software engineering
  • Ensures smooth functioning of both physical hardware components and software programming components.

Requirements

Minimum Requirements

 

(U) Experience:

  • 0 years of professional experience required.

(U) Education:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer, Electrical or Electronics Engineering or Mathematics with field of concentration in computer science; Individual shall be working towards the relevant certifications within one and a half year after assuming duties: Professional Software Engineering Master (PSEM)/ Certified Software Development Professional (CSDP) or with COR approval complete a vendor/platform specific certification.

(U) Specific Requirements:

  • Decision making, communication, collaboration and writing skills
  • Proficient in MS Office and Outlook (Word, Email, Spreadsheets, Schedules, PowerPoint). 

(U) General Requirements:

  • Must be a US citizen
  • Must possess an active Secret clearance level

The projected compensation range for this position is $64000 to $96000 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of MAG's total compensation package for employees.
