Brand Communications Assistant

The Role:


Minted is seeking a Brand Communications Assistant to join our world-class Brand Communications team. The Assistant will work collaboratively with team members on the planning and execution of communications, advertising and partnership campaigns. You’ll be responsible for developing campaign materials, pitching and securing earned coverage, and maintaining team operations with administrative and logistical support. This role is ideal for a recent graduate who is interested in building a career in brand marketing. 


This position reports to the Senior Director, Brand Communications and works cross-functionally with the Affiliates, Influencer, Social, Partnerships, Growth Marketing, and Creative Teams.

You Will:
  • Facilitate day-to-day inbound media requests in a timely manner, including sample requests, image requests, and fact checks.
  • Help to secure impactful media placements in print, online, broadcast and social media outlets.
  • Draft media pitches and create product line sheets to support campaign outreach.
  • Track earned and paid media coverage. Input all data metrics to measure results against outlined KPIs and further optimize strategy and media mix. 
  • Generate campaign and quarterly reports that outline results and how they ladder up to broader awareness and company goals.
  • Perform market & cultural research to stay abreast of industry trends, best practices and competitive landscape.
  • Participate in team brainstorms to help generate campaign strategies.
  • Maintain a media database with current contact information for all press; create targeted lists for campaigns; research new media and agency contacts.
  • Manage workflow and deliverables for all creative assets required for team channels. Write comprehensive creative briefs highlighting execution details.
  • Assist with event planning and execution, including managing external vendors, contract and pricing negotiation, ordering product samples, shipping and receiving, guest list management, and staffing.
  • Precisely track and maintain team budget.
  • Personalize, order and track product samples for media,VIPs, events, and partners.
  • Execute creative deliveries for press and VIPs.
  • Provide administrative support across the team.


You Are:

  • Extremely proficient in Excel and Airtable; Experience with social media platforms and relevant tools including AspireIq, Cision and Dash Hudson a plus.


You Have:
  • 1-2 years as an account coordinator or equivalent experience in marketing or communications in a consumer, retail, e-commerce or agency environment.
  • Extremely efficient and organized self-starter with strong time management skills 
  • An extremely high taste level and high standards for quality and style; a passion for art, design, and creative pursuits; and a finger on the pulse of emerging lifestyle and design trends.
  • Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills. 
  • A Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, Business or a related field. 


Compensation: 


The compensation range for the role applies to employment offers from Minted. Our employment offers fall between the minimum and midpoint of the range to allow for continued salary growth during your employment at Minted. The upper half of the range accommodates this growth and supports our intention to create an environment that encourages lasting relationships between Minted and our employees.


Geo Base Full Salary Range 0 - Includes SF Bay Area  $24.23 - $31.80

Geo Base Full Salary Range 1 - All non-SF CA, DC, NY $22.30 - $29.26


Salaries will vary based on various factors including but not limited to professional and academic experience, associated job responsibilities, and/or other business or organizational needs.


This role is paid hourly
