Compounding Pharmacist

Mixlab, the fast-growing veterinary compounding pharmacy, is hiring a Compounding Pharmacist in our New York pharmacy. We are looking for a Pharmacist who is obsessed with details and is driven by an ability to #makeithappen for our customers and their furry (and scaly!) friends no matter what. You will be an integral part in helping us to ensure our NYC operations run smoothly, and to make Mixlab a 100% dependable resource for our customers and veterinarians alike.


This is a full-time hourly role at $60-$64 per hour depending on individual qualifications, license, experience, and skillset.


Responsibilities:
  • Compound non-sterile pharmaceutical preparations, including but not limited to the compounding of capsules, tablets, oral liquids and topical medications.
  • Compound medications, fill and label prescriptions, and package medications - in other words, full-service compounding from chemicals to packaging.
  • Counsel clients on different medications, needs, usages, and instructions.
  • Keep accurate records and monitor inventory levels in accordance with USP 795, State Board of Pharmacy regulations and company policies and procedures.
  • Collaborate with the development team to provide guidance on product features, participating in sales activities such as calling or visiting veterinary clinics.
  • Perform Care Pharmacist duties on an as needed basis


About You:
  • You are a licensed pharmacist in NY, in good standing with all State Boards of Pharmacy
  • You have formal training in non-sterile compounding or equivalent experience
  • You have 2+ years of experience in non-sterile compounding, with preference given to veterinary compounding experience
  • Your attention to detail is impeccable, and you have incredibly high standards for accuracy and quality
  • You are collaborative and have a desire to work in a team-oriented, fast-paced, startup environment

Compensation at Mixlab is dependent on multiple factors including but not limited to individual qualifications, license, experience, and skillset.

Pay ranges at Mixlab are based on competitive market data for our industry and company size. In addition to base pay, our total compensation package for full-time employees includes benefits and equity. We determine individual pay based on qualifications for the role, experience level, and skillset, and we expect offers made to candidates to fall throughout the range advertised.
