PRODUCTION CONTROL ANALYST

Description

Purpose :

Collaborate with multi departments, especially Engineering, Materials, and Commercial, to manage CN management and implementation – including new part setup, purchase sales agreements, EDI releases, MES setup, and route setting. Support Materials with daily operations and miscellaneous issues – physical inventory, SAP transactions, releases, process, and inventory accuracy. Manage day-to-day logistics tasks in SAP and other, such as route setup, optimization, billing, auditing, and quotes.


Essential Duties :

Change Notice

  1. CN info management – participate internal and external CN weekly meetings, track upcoming CNs.
  2. Manage CN part changes – CN alert, 1st sequence recording, part change notification with signoffs
  3. CN communication internal and external to OEM – attend weekly OEM CN meetings.
  4. Setup requirements and special activities accordingly when part changes

Material Support

  1. Monitor incoming 830 & 862 for new parts daily and/or weekly for new suppliers, parts, or resourcing.
  2. Support Material team for physical inventory, inventory accuracy, routing, carrier oversight, etc.
  3. Publish monthly materials closing report – Inventory, adjustments, IBT, expedite, NCT, GR/IR
  4. Material history research for obsolescence or gain and loss items.
  5. Perform SAP materials transactions to support Materials daily operations upon approval.

Pilot Production

  1. Support all pilot build activities – new part mgmt., pilot PDCA, production, meetings, and planning.
  2. Champion and/or support annual buildout for new parts or model year buildout.

System Management

  1. Follow up with ERP team for SAP system improvement in a user’s standpoint.
  2. SAP Material Master Management – create, update, and maintain master part number information.
  3. Create and maintain PSA (PO) and maintain source list in SAP.
  4. Maintain SAP production BOM’s when required.
  5. Create part numbers in MES – critical for continuous line production.
  6. Setup and maintain MES CN’s for dual barcode scans and SR messages.
  7. Monitor SAP backlog daily and drive resolution.

Misc.

  1. Collect daily production including production output, work hours, manpower, and etc.
  2. Submit monthly diversity report to OEM and management.
  3. Provide input in OEM capacity management system when notified.
  4. Manage, maintain, and execute Return Module process.
  5. Manage, maintain, plan, coordinate, and execute W2W3 program production.
  6. Generate, discuss, and execute continuous improvement ideas.
  7. Perform and manage retro reporting for retro payment of suppliers in conjunction with Commercial department.
  8. Support and perform special project as necessary.

Requirements

Education / Skill / Experience Requirements:

  • 4-year degree or equivalent work experience; Supply chain management or engineering major desired, but not required.
  • Experienced to advanced skill with Excel, proficient in Word and PowerPoint required.
  • Must be effective in oral and written communication, computer proficient, and detail oriented.
  • Basic problem solving and logic required for process and system understanding and development.
  • SAP experience desired, but not required.
