Director, Business Operations

Job Summary

The Enterprise Storage Business Unit (BU) is responsible for building, launching and managing NetApp’s core storage and data management products. The team is responsible for developing next generation Storage Portfolio and scale adoption of current generation by being at the forefront of innovation and collaborating across NetApp’s hybrid cloud portfolio (Public, Private & On Prem).
Enterprise Storage BU is looking for a Director of Business Operations and Program Management with the main charter to improve execution rigor and operations efficiencies in Planning and “Run and Grow the Business” phase.  This leader will also be collaborating with Product Management, PMO and XFN teams to roll out structured programs for post-launch scaling phase.
You will work closely with senior leadership in the planning, evaluation, and selection of the right opportunities to optimize processes across BU and bridge the gap between the business, data, tech, and operations teams. 


Job Responsibilities 
Primary responsibilities of the Director of Business Operations and Program Management will include (not limited to) -  

  • Instituting Best-in-Class Rhythm of Business for Business Unit with an objective of removing barriers to execution and silos.
  • Running Strategic Planning and Semester Planning exercises for Business Unit 
  • Driving MBRs/QBRs (Monthly and Quarterly Business Reviews), demonstrating business acumen including Product Bookings, Revenue, Margin, and growth with a mission of building strong culture of data driven decision making
  • Leveraging market and competitive research/benchmarking to proactively identify special projects, and driving cross-functional execution
  • Building a collaborative operating model to drive post-launch programs which are critical for scaling of business 
  • Providing strategic thought leadership, drive prioritization, and lead special programs across different XFN groups
  • Building and leading team of highly motivated strategy professionals and program managers

Job Requirements

  • 12 years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree; 10 years of work experience with an Advanced degree (e.g. Engineering or MBA).
  • 10+ years’ experience as Leader focused on Business operations, program/project management, delivering complex projects or Strategy and Operations management or Consulting.
  • Proven and demonstrated experience in designing, driving and managing complex, strategic and XFN initiatives from concept to deployment is highly desired.
  • Detailed and process oriented; with ability to work on both strategic and tactical initiatives by building best-in-class playbooks, from a point of limited maturity
  • Strong analytical skills with an ability to perform complex analyses and communicate them effectively and with strong executive presence
  • Demonstrated ability of senior stakeholder management, influencing without authority and bias for action
  • Strong expertise in building executive presentation and supporting artifacts building – Word doc, Power Point, Excel etc.
  • Experience presenting to executive level leaders.
  • Ability to motivate teams and influence their tasks to align with organizational goals and priorities.

Post-graduation degree in Engineering or Management

Compensation:
The target salary range for this position is 193,035 - 287,320 USD. The salary offered will be determined by the candidate's location, qualifications, experience, and education and may be outside of this range. Final compensation packages are competitive and in line with industry standards, reflecting a variety of factors, and include a comprehensive benefits package. This may cover Health Insurance, Life Insurance, Retirement or Pension Plans, Paid Time Off (PTO), various Leave options, Performance-Based Incentives, employee stock purchase plan, and/or restricted stocks (RSU’s), with all offerings subject to regional variations and governed by local laws, regulations, and company policies. Benefits may vary by country and region, and further details will be provided as part of the recruitment process.
