Role:                                  Front-End Software Engineer

Location:                           Leeds/hybrid, 2 days per week in the office

Salary:                               £50,000 - £55,000 DOE, plus extensive benefits

Contract type:                   Permanent

Employment type:            Full time

Working hours:                 40 per week, Monday to Friday, 9:00 to 17:30

As a Front-End Software Engineer, You will work to further develop and improve new and current solutions in development in a safe and efficient manner. Working in a team of 5-10 Front-End Developers to develop our new and improved single platform solution through the development of a React.js front-end utilising Next.js and the utilisation of .NET Microservice API calls.

What you’ll be doing?

Develop components for use by our Marketing teams through the Storyblok CMS, this will also involve the scoping of these components and understanding of the requirements as they come from our Marketing and Product teams.

Review and help shape the technical direction of our products through a code review system, meaning you will be required to suggest improvements and assist junior developers in their works.

Who are we looking for?

  • Extensive experience working commercially with React, TypeScript and / or Next.JS
  • Knowledge of responsive web design with a mobile first approach 
  • Knowledge of API integrations in collaboration with a mix of backend teams and 3rd Party API’s.
  • Demonstrable experience in writing reusable code 
  • Knowledge and experience of source control such as Git/Azure DevOps
  • Proficient understanding of cross-browser compatibility issues and ways to work around them. 
  • Good understanding of SEO principles and ensuring that application will adhere to them 
  • Experience using Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager 
  • Experience with Storyblok CMS or equivalent
  • Knowledge of TailwindCSS
  • Experience in E-commerce   
  • Experience writing of Technical Documentation for reuse
