Position: Lead Machinist

Location: Louisa, VA

Duration: Full-Time, Contract-to-Hire

Shift: Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM

Pay Range: Up to $32/hour (based on experience)

We are seeking an experienced and driven Lead Machinist to oversee and guide our machining operations. Key Responsibilities:

  • Blueprint Mastery: Accurately interpret and execute work based on blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
  • Equipment Management: Maintain and oversee the safe, efficient operation of all machinery, ensuring proper upkeep.
  • Quality Focus: Consistently deliver high-quality work within tight tolerances and meet production deadlines.


Requirements:
  • Experience: A minimum of 5 years as a machinist, with a strong emphasis on manual machining.
  • Technical Proficiency: Expertise in operating Lathe, Manual, and CNC machines.
  • Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead, manage, and mentor a team effectively.
  • Problem-Solving Abilities: Demonstrated strength in diagnosing and resolving machining challenges.
  • Detail-Oriented: A meticulous approach to maintaining accuracy and consistency.
  • Certification: A Journeyman card is a plus but not required.


Preferred Qualifications:
  • Proficiency in troubleshooting and operating a wide range of manual and CNC machines.
