Director of Media & Communications - AI Solutions

The Director of Media & Communications will be the architect of Resilinc’s media and communications strategy, focused on elevating the company’s position as a leader in AI-driven supply chain intelligence. Operating as an individual contributor initially, you will develop PR strategies, manage media relationships, craft executive communications, and drive crisis communications for major supply chain disruptions or risk events. This role demands strong media acumen, strategic storytelling, and the ability to translate complex supply chain/AI concepts into compelling narratives that resonate with business, technology, and mainstream audiences.

 


What You Will Do


Media & Communications Strategy
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive PR plan that positions Resilinc as the go-to authority on supply chain risk, compliance, and AI-based solutions.
  • Own media relations: Build and maintain strong relationships with industry reporters, tech journalists, trade publications, and analysts in the supply chain, logistics, and AI sectors.
  • Pitch and secure coverage in top-tier outlets, ensuring consistent brand presence across relevant media channels


Executive Communications & Thought Leadership
  • Craft executive thought leadership content (bylines, op-eds, speaking abstracts) for senior leadership, highlighting Resilinc’s innovations and real-world impact.
  • Collaborate with C-suite and product marketing to shape key narratives that differentiate Resilinc’s AI-driven solutions from competitors. In collaboration with senior stakeholders, develop key communication materials including press releases, messaging, Q&A and other corporate communications resources 
  • Identify high-profile speaking opportunities (conferences, webinars, podcasts) and manage speaker prep to ensure message consistency and brand alignment.


Crisis & Issues Management
  • Develop and maintain a crisis communication plan for major supply chain disruptions (e.g., factory shutdowns, geopolitical conflicts) that impact customers’ operations.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for rapid response during high-visibility events or negative press, coordinating internal stakeholders to deliver consistent, fact-based messaging.
  • Proactively monitor industry news and social chatter to anticipate issues, guiding leadership on appropriate responses.


Internal Communications & Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Partner with product marketing to align public messaging with product positioning, ensuring resonance with supply chain, compliance, and procurement audiences.
  • Collaborate with demand generation and social teams to amplify media coverage and integrate PR efforts into broader campaigns.
  • Work closely with sales and customer success for customer success stories, references, and case studies that underscore Resilinc’s value.
  • Support internal communications, employee engagement initiatives, and internal messaging including internal updates and other messages from the executive team, planning for company meetings, and other employee communication initiatives


Measurement & Reporting
  • Define KPIs for PR initiatives (e.g., share of voice, media sentiment, coverage volume, speaking engagements) and regularly report outcomes to executive leadership.
  • Analyze media coverage and industry mentions to refine messaging, identify gaps, and capitalize on new opportunities.
  • Use analytics tools (e.g., Meltwater) to track brand awareness and gauge the impact of PR campaigns.


Leadership & Team Development
  • Operate as a hands-on individual contributor, initially driving all PR initiatives solo while potentially onboarding a direct report and or agency in the future.
  • Foster collaboration across the marketing organization, championing a transparent, proactive approach to communications.


What You Will Bring
  • 7+ years of public relations or communications experience in technology, SaaS, or enterprise software—supply chain or AI sector experience is a plus.
  • Proven track record securing coverage in top-tier business and trade media outlets.
  • Demonstrated crisis communications experience—managing complex, time-sensitive issues in a B2Benvironment.
  • Excellent storytelling ability—capable of translating technical AI/supply chain concepts into clear, engaging narratives.
  • Strong media relationships and understanding of the tech and supply chain press landscape.
  • Data-driven approach to measuring PR effectiveness, with comfort using analytics tools for coverage tracking.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills; able to produce executive-level content under tight deadlines.
  • Collaborative mindset—adept at working with product marketing, demand gen, and sales to create integrated campaigns.
  • Bachelor’s degree in communications, journalism, marketing, or a related field; advanced degree or certifications in PR, digital marketing, or supply chain a plus.
