Job Description

At Rewind, we provide industry-leading backup and recovery solutions for businesses operating in the Atlassian, GitHub, Shopify, and Monday.com ecosystems. Our mission is to ensure that companies can secure, restore, and recover their critical SaaS data with ease and confidence.

As we continue to grow, we’re looking for a Sales Engineer to partner with our Commercial Sales Team, serving as the technical expert and trusted advisor for prospective customers.

About the Role

As a Sales Engineer, you’ll be the go-to technical resource for the Commercial Sales Team, working alongside Account Executives (AEs) to drive revenue by demonstrating the value of Rewind’s platform. You’ll play a crucial role in pre-sales engagements, helping customers understand how our backup & recovery solutions fit into their existing workflows.

Your day-to-day will include:

  • Technical Discovery & Consultation – Understanding customer needs, challenges, and technical requirements to align Rewind’s solutions with their business goals.

  • Product Demonstrations – Delivering engaging and tailored product demos that highlight Rewind’s capabilities in action.

  • Proof of Concept (PoC) Management – Assisting prospects in testing and evaluating our platform through structured PoCs and technical trials.

  • Technical Enablement – Acting as a subject matter expert (SME) for all things backup, recovery, and data protection, ensuring our sales team is equipped with the right technical knowledge.

  • Objection Handling & Solutioning – Addressing technical concerns, security questions, and integration challenges to instil confidence in our platform.

  • Collaboration with Internal Teams – Working closely with Product, Customer Success, and Engineering to provide feedback from the field and help refine our offerings.

Qualifications

We’re seeking a tech-savvy, customer-focused, and problem-solving Sales Engineer who can balance technical expertise with strong communication skills.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • 3+ years of experience in a pre-sales engineering, solutions engineering, or technical sales role.

  • Strong knowledge of SaaS applications and APIs – experience with Atlassian, GitHub, Shopify, or Monday.com is a major plus.

  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) and security best practices.

  • A deep understanding of data backup, recovery, and disaster recovery solutions.

  • Excellent presentation and communication skills – able to translate technical jargon into business value.

  • Experience running proof of concepts (PoCs) and technical evaluations with customers.

  • Ability to work cross-functionally with Sales, Product, and Engineering teams.

Our organization follows a hybrid work structure where employees work from the office three days/week. This role will be based out of our Ottawa office.
