Royal Caribbean Group’s Human Resources Team has an exciting career opportunity for a full time Analyst, People Analytics reporting to the AVP, People & Outreach Transformation.

 

This role will work onsite in Miami, Florida.

 

Position Summary:

The Analyst, People Analytics individual is a key member of the People Analytics team, located at Royal Caribbean’s Miami headquarter office. This individual supports to the Employee Relations team, with a focus on research, data quality, and analytics to drive insights and actionable recommendations. This individual maintains dashboards and provides ad hoc, monthly, quarterly, and annual reports.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Partner with the HR team and business leaders to help them answer strategic questions and make insightful data-driven business decisions.
  • Develop hypotheses, define actionable research questions, drive exploratory data analysis, deliver hypotheses-driven analysis, and present key finding to stakeholders in a cohesive way.
  • Use advanced statistics and tools to ensure analytics are meaningful, rigorous, and provide actionable and comprehensive insights.
  • Ensure appropriate data governance, protection, and retention of all analyses and results.
  • Create effective and easy to understand people reporting solutions (i.e. dashboards, metrics, reports) to meet business needs.
  • Synthesize workforce analyses, identify root cause(s), and develop recommendations to influence business solutions. Connect analyses to strategic issues to support a compelling argument for action.
  • Ensure data structure and infrastructure supports current and evolving people analytics needs. Investigate, evaluate and recommend solutions to meet ongoing and future needs.
  • Enable a data-driven culture within HR by using analytics and data through partnerships, thought leadership, solutions, consultation, and training; educating clients on how to leverage data to tell stories and use self-service solutions.

 

Qualifications, Knowledge and Skills:

  • BA/BS degree in engineering, data analytics, mathematics, or similar field of study.
  • 1+ years progressive work experience applying analytical methods to business problems, driving improved decision-making and outcomes; HR experience preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in ambiguous situations and across organizational boundaries.
  • Exceptional customer focus and project management skills ¿ able to interact and contract professionally with a diverse group of executives, managers, and subject matter experts.
  • Strong attention to detail and high commitment to accuracy.
  • Willingness to adapt quickly to shifting business priorities.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure with multiple deliverables, some larger with longer timelines and others requiring immediate attention and completion.
  • In-depth experience with Excel including pivot tables, lookups, graphing and charting functionality.

 

Preferred Experience:

  • Ability to organize data, design analyses, and distill insights out of structured and unstructured data.
  • Experience manipulating data (cleaning, merging, transforming, analyzing) using tools such as Microsoft Excel, SQL, R and Python.
  • Advanced skills with a range of database, analytics and visualization software and tools.
  • Experience with SAP SuccessFactors and Qualtrics
  • Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau and Power BI.

 

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Possess a high degree of technical proficiency and ongoing personal development with software programs necessary for the position: Excel, Power BI, Tableau and coding languages.
  • Solid foundation in data analytics principles and methodologies.
  • Ability to work with multiple stakeholders at varying levels of management with credibility.
  • Polished presentation skills including building meaningful materials, presenting effectively to senior level clients and management, and responding to questions on-the-fly based on in-role business context and acumen.
  • Comfort with complexity, ambiguity, and change.
  • Comfort with abstract concepts and ideas as initial business needs are scoped.
  • Confidence with translating client needs into forward-thinking solutions.
  • Self-starter with self-confidence, enthusiasm, and strong customer service orientation.
  • Manages time well, correctly prioritizes tasks, and is flexible.
