Public Relations Manager

Saronic Technologies is a leader in revolutionizing defense autonomy at sea, dedicated to developing state-of-the-art solutions that enhance maritime operations for the Department of Defense (DoD) through autonomous and intelligent platforms.


Role Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Public Relations Manager to lead and execute public relations and strategic communications initiatives to help drive brand awareness, support business objectives, and promote and protect the company’s reputation. 


Responsibilities
  • PR Campaigns & Announcements: Develop and execute comprehensive and high-impact PR campaigns and announcement strategies that align with company objectives.
  • Narrative & Messaging Development: Craft compelling messaging and narratives that effectively communicate key company initiatives, product market fit, and organizational milestones. 
  • Writing & Content Creation: Write and edit press releases, blog posts, thought leadership articles, and other PR materials.
  • Media Relations: Cultivate and manage strong relationships with media outlets, journalists, and influencers to drive press coverage.
  • Awards & Speaking Program Management: Oversee the management of awards and speaking engagement programs, ensuring strategic alignment with business goals and communications objectives.
  • Metrics & Monitoring: Monitor and analyze PR campaign effectiveness, leveraging metrics tracking tools like Meltwater to optimize strategy. Identify opportunities to shape PR processes and measurement efforts


Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Political Science, or related field. 
  • 8+ years of proven experience in public relations, communications, or a related field.
  • Excellent written and oral communications skills.  
  • Ability to work cross-functionally with internal stakeholders to align PR efforts with government relations, creative/branding, sales, and leadership priorities. 
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
  • Strong writing, content creation, and editing skills.  
  • Proven track record of building and maintaining media relationships and securing high-impact press coverage.
  • Experience in managing awards, events, and speaking calendars, and supporting public presentations and speaking engagements. 
  • Willingness to travel as needed to support communications initiatives. 
  • Experience working with defense or government customers.
  • Familiarity with social media management and digital PR strategies.
