Position Summary

Why join our team?

This is an opportunity to be part of a fun and dynamic team, who have been part of a digital transformation. The ‘Direct to Consumer’ department has grown significantly over the past few years, evolving Samsung.com from a traditional brochure-ware site, into a fully-fledged e-Commerce site. Your role will be in the dotcom team, which sits within the wider Direct to Consumer department. You will benefit from being close to the core customer data and all elements of the customer experience.

Our focus in this team is to grow our ‘closed user group’ (CUG) websites. These consist of various websites that offer discounted pricing for select audiences, including students, key workers, professionals etc. These sites sit separately from the main Samsung.com site, and need to be regularly maintained and optimised, to surface our competitive pricing and offers, and ensure the best possible user experience.

The successful candidate will need to work very closely with the marketing and commercial teams, to understand the changing business priorities. This will involve non-stop conversations about trading priorities, product launches and promotional and brand campaigns. Constantly thinking about how we can best position our products to increase traffic, conversion rate, average order value and sales.

Role and Responsibilities

Your key responsibilities
•    Support digital campaigns across all CE product categories (consumer electronics), including Refrigeration, Laundry, Vacuum, TV & Soundbar, Cooking, Monitors & Laptops.

•    Maintain CE categories across all closed user group websites, mainly focusing on Student and Networks, and occasionally keeping all other CUG sites up to date.

•    Work directly with marketing and commercial teams, to understand all upcoming campaigns, offers and business priorities.

•    Deliver website merchandising for key campaigns, including product launches, campaigns, promotions and customer journey improvements, to help drive key critical metrics.

•    Use data insights to understand website performance, and to help inform decisions to improve/optimise pages to drive commercial value.

•    Establish and cultivate relationships with agency teams, to ensure clear briefs and work is completed on time, to a high standard.
•    Collaborate with the optimisation team and agencies to gather findings from the main site & implement new site optimisations to improve the user experience as necessary.

•    Share data insights with key collaborators, to regularly inform them of site funnel and campaign performance, and provide recommendations for improvements

•    Use content management systems (Adobe Experience Manager, Hybris etc.) to make merchandising updates on key web pages across all CE categories.

•    Complete quality assurance testing on site updates to ensure content and functionality is accurate and working as intended. Work with support teams to resolve site issues and bugs.

What we need for this role
To be successful, you will possess the following skills and attributes:

•    The ideal candidate will have experience in a digital business, ideally within a large, multinational ecommerce business.

•    Experience using content management systems (i.e. Adobe Experience Manager) would be preferred

•    Some digital project management/merchandising experience is preferred but not essential.
•    Experience briefing website content updates, and working with agency publishers, designers and developers.

•    Some experience planning and delivering digital marketing campaigns, launching new products to market across digital touchpoints.

•    Some experience of having delivered consumer-centric, data driven marketing activities at scale and speed.

•    Some experience in managing Agency Partners or delivery teams, and ideally leading virtual teams/workstreams to deliver against a shared objective.

•    Outstanding communication & organisational skills enabling you to work effectively with partners across our business as well as with external agencies.

•    Experience making pitches to senior team members would be useful

•    Some experience understanding and translating data (adobe analytics, google analytics) to measure performance and gain insights

What does success look like?
•    You consistently take initiative, show enthusiasm, and excel at solving problems. You will be able to communicate effectively with different personality types, and be confident presenting to senior collaborators.
•    In the first 6-12 months of this role, you should be self-sufficient enough to take ownership of all the CE categories, and establish yourself as the go-to PIC for all onsite updates for those categories.
•    Success will be measured by how well you maintain relationships and communication between teams, efficient briefing to agencies, speed and accuracy of website execution, and positive business important metrics, i.e. website performance
•    Your daily/weekly activities will include joining weekly trading meetings, stand ups with agencies, briefing website merchandising and optimisations, analysing performance data and communicating with stakeholders.
