At Serve Robotics, we’re reimagining how things move in cities. Our personable sidewalk robot is our vision for the future. It’s designed to take deliveries away from congested streets, make deliveries available to more people, and benefit local businesses.

The Serve fleet has been delighting merchants, customers, and pedestrians along the way in Los Angeles while doing commercial deliveries. We’re looking for talented individuals who will grow robotic deliveries from surprising novelty to efficient ubiquity.

We are solving real-world problems leveraging robotics, machine learning and computer vision, among other disciplines, with a mindful eye towards the end-to-end user experience. We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Electrical Engineering (EE) Lab Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for supporting electrical engineering projects by performing a variety of tasks related to lab operations, equipment maintenance, testing, and data analysis. This position requires strong technical skills, hands-on experience with electrical testing equipment, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct electrical testing and performance evaluations of components, systems, and equipment.

  • Calibrate electrical instruments and ensure accuracy for testing procedures.

  • Maintain, set up, and operate lab test equipment such as oscilloscopes, multimeters, and power supplies.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues with electrical circuits and lab equipment.

  • Assist engineers in designing, building, and testing prototypes and circuit boards.

  • Solder, assemble, and wire components for various electrical projects.

  • Maintain accurate records of test procedures, results, and equipment calibration.

  • Prepare clear, concise technical reports detailing test results and solutions.

  • Collaborate with engineers during product development, testing, and optimization.

  • Ensure safety protocols and industry standards are followed in all testing activities.

  • Manage lab inventory, ordering necessary parts and supplies for experiments.

  • Stay current with new technologies and tools in electrical engineering.

  • Participate in training to improve technical expertise and skills.

Qualifications

  • Associate's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

  • 5+ years experience as an Electrical Engineering Lab Technician or similar role.

  • Familiarity with electrical testing and measurement instruments.

  • Strong knowledge of circuit theory, electrical safety standards, and industry best practices.

  • Excellent troubleshooting, problem-solving, and analytical skills.

  • Ability to work well in a team and communicate effectively with engineers and other technical personnel.
