People Operations Generalist
Location: 100% Remote (US Only)
Compensation: $55,000 - $65,000 + Comprehensive Benefits Package
Reports to: Director, People Operations
Served with Honor is looking for a People Operations Generalist to assist with day-to-day HR functions, including onboarding, offboarding, employee job changes, personnel documentation, reporting requests, benefits, and leave administration. What You’ll Do:
Onboarding & New Hire Administration: Onboard new hires, create offers of employment, and ensure alignment with our compensation philosophy. Administer background checks and review results.
New Hire Orientation: Update new hire teams, schedule orientations, and conduct orientations with training team members.
HR Systems & Administrative Support: Maintain the HR system and provide administrative support for onboarding, new hire orientations, exit interviews, and day-to-day software maintenance.
Consultation & HR System Expertise: Advise leaders on employee operations and perform required HR transactions in the HR system.
Employee Records & Compliance: Maintain employee records and ensure certifications are up to date. Conduct HR file audits to ensure proper documentation.
Policy & Employee Support: Assist with the delivery of HR policies and the employee handbook, and act as a resource for employees on day-to-day questions and policy interpretation.
Job Descriptions & Recruitment Support: Partner with hiring managers to develop job descriptions and post openings in the HR system.
Communication & Metrics: Prepare and deliver internal communications on policy changes and engagement, and provide metric reports as needed.
Benefits Administration Backup: Act as a primary backup for benefits administration and support compliance initiatives.
Affirmative Action & Compliance: Assist with affirmative action programs, EEO-1 reporting, and maintain records to ensure compliance with EEO regulations and other government reporting requirements.
HR Compliance & Audits: Ensure compliance with USCIS Form I-9 Employment Eligibility Verification and perform regular audits for expired documents.
Special Projects & Continuous Improvement: Participate in special projects and continuous improvement initiatives, and help improve HR processes.
What You’ll Bring:
Experience: 0-3 years of experience as a People Operations Generalist, with a solid understanding of HR policies and procedures.
HR Knowledge: Strong knowledge of employment and labor laws, and experience with HRIS systems (Rippling preferred).
Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Attention to Detail: Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to work with a high degree of accuracy.
Organization & Time Management: Well-organized and able to effectively prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Team Player: A team-oriented approach, with the ability to contribute to HR initiatives and work collaboratively with others.
Confidentiality & Integrity: Ability to act with professionalism, integrity, and maintain confidentiality at all times.
Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
HRIS Experience: Prior HRIS experience (Rippling preferred).

Expected Compensation:
$55,000 - $65,000 annual salary, plus comprehensive benefits. Pay offered will depend on market location, experience, and qualifications. Additional details about benefits will be shared upon offer.
