We are looking for an HR Generalist to join NORIT on a temporary contract basis (approx. 1 year 8 months) and with possibility to work part-time (60% or 80% of the time). We could consider a full-time role depending on the profile of the candidate and preferences.
In this role, you will support our Global Business Services (GBS) organization in Riga, Latvia with 45 employees and a small Italian entity with 14 employees. As HR Generalist, you will work with leaders to support organizational needs in space of employee relations, performance management, total rewards, L&D needs for soft skills development. You will be responsible for maintaining personnel documentation according to internal procedures and labor law. For Riga entity, you will be responsible for processing monthly payroll activities in collaboration with external vendor. For Italian entity, you will work with site leader to establish best operational procedures in HR to ensure compliance. Finally, you will be governing HR data in global HRIS for the 2 entities and work closely with HR Operations to streamline data accuracy.
Your key responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage all HR processes that support employees and managers in Riga and Italy in their employment lifecycle. Provide guidance on HR policies and procedures, keep these relevant to the organizational needs.
- Partner with site leader in Italy to identify needs and deliver HR support.
- Ensure HR compliance and accurate personnel documentation in accordance with the labor law. Manage payroll activities for Riga and Italy in collaboration with external vendor.
- Take a lead in local HR projects (e.g. annual salary surveys, employee engagement, etc.).
- Take ownership of employee data management and quality in HRIS and other business systems.
- Participate in global HR projects to seek opportunities to further enhance HR delivery model in NORIT.
- May deliver other HR responsibilities that support NORIT global locations.
- 3-5 years of experience in HR field, preferably as HR Generalist or Specialist dealing with employee relations and HR administration.
- Practical experience working with Latvian labor law, personnel administration and payroll.
- Strong communication skills in both Latvian and English. Some knowledge of Italian could be an advantage.
- Team player who is willing to partner with leaders and colleagues across the world.
- Good organizational skills and ability to work with objectives independently, relying on experience and research.
- Proactivity and focus on continuous improvement.
- Eye for details and passion for data quality.
- University degree in HR or Business-related field.
