Job Summary:
Synergy Enterprises, Inc., a woman-owned business, is seeking a part-time, as needed Science Writer to provide communications support to federal health agencies. The selected candidate will be responsible for the creation, management, and execution of assignments that synthesize and communicate complex scientific concepts for multiple audiences.

Are you a skilled wordsmith with a passion for science? If so, Synergy Enterprises, Inc. has an exciting opportunity for you as a part-time Science Writer. Located in North Bethesda, MD, we’re a dynamic, minority- and woman-owned government contractor dedicated to making a difference in public health communications. In this role, you'll collaborate with federal health agencies to translate complex scientific concepts into engaging content for various audiences. You'll be the voice that bridges the gap between biomedical clinicians, researchers, and policymakers, making significant contributions to women's health research and other vital initiatives. Your day-to-day tasks will include researching biomedical topics, crafting informative newsletters, and creating compelling social media posts. Your ability to manage multiple projects with tight deadlines will be essential, as you'll navigate a fast-paced environment where communication and transparency are key. To thrive here, you should hold a Bachelor’s degree in English, Journalism, Communications, or a related field, along with five years of relevant experience. Experience with NIH and women's health research is a plus!
