Able to lift 40 lbs. without assistance, Cold Room/Freezers -22degreesF/-6degrees C, Laboratory Setting, Some degree of PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) required (safety glasses, gowning, gloves, lab coat, ear plugs etc.), Strong Odors (chemical, lubricants, biological products etc.), Will work with hazardous/toxic materials

Job Description

Join Thermo Fisher Scientific for a meaningful impact in finding cures and ensuring food safety.

What will you do?

  • Direct responsibility for data analytics, inventory management, and vital reporting.
  • Analyze data and make recommendations to achieve profitability, customer service, and inventory goals.
  • Manage the monthly inventory management report distribution.
  • Coordinate all ULSIM ordering functions.
  • Collaborate with the supply chain team to implement changes from analysis.
  • Plan and complete inventory functions, such as running reports, adding parts, and warehouse-level inventory planning.
  • Lead and coordinate annual physical inventory and quarterly cycle counts, including conducting yearly API Training and Cycle Count Training.
  • Investigate and reconcile inventory discrepancies.
  • Manage velocity reports, analyze data, and resolve MAX/ROP changes.
  • Provide backup coverage as needed.
  • Design new planning tools with the project coordinator.
  • Perform ad hoc training and support.
  • Undertake other miscellaneous duties as assigned.

  • High school diploma or equivalent experience required.
  • College degree preferred.

Experience

  • 1-2 years’ experience in inventory management.
  • A combination of job-related experience and ongoing educational progress may be considered.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

  • Excellent written and verbal skills.
  • Knowledge of inventory control practices and lean standard processes preferred.
  • Proficient communication skills, including experience in writing SOPs and presentation skills.
  • Proven ability to work with internal and external customers; strong interpersonal skills required.
  • Demonstrated excellence in customer service.
  • Diligent, problem solver, fosters team environment.
  • Excellent computer/software skills. (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Self-motivated with strong organizational skills.
  • Proven problem-solving skills and collaboration.
  • Analytical and critical thinking ability to make timely decisions in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience in a laboratory setting and GLP/GMP environment preferred.
  • Strong skills in Microsoft Excel.

Working Conditions:

Works primarily at customer locations, in office environments, including cubicles and/or shipping/receiving docks, stock rooms, storage locations, and laboratory environments.

Ability to handle 30-40 pounds regularly; occasional 50 lbs. Use material handling equipment as needed.
