As a Founder in Residence, GTM Innovation at Vanta, you will own the vision, strategy, and execution of AI-first workflows that transform how we sell, engage, and support customers—acting as the CEO of a high-impact GTM Innovation squad while building out one of Vanta’s most forward-looking initiatives. 

This is designed to be a nine month tour of duty for potential founders who want to see an existing company’s go-to-market systems in action. This is an opportunity to identify challenges, understand the strengths and weaknesses of different AI options, iterate on solutions, and ultimately deploy at scale. We expect successful candidates to use this founder-in-residence program to increase their chances of starting a successful startup. We’re open to longer stays should you be interested in continuing in this role beyond nine months.

Vanta’s GTM Innovation team is on a mission to redefine how we sell, generate pipeline, and serve customers through AI-first workflows and automation. As the Founder in Residence, you will lead this transformation by:

  • Shifting from human capacity-first to AI-first thinking, embedding automation into our GTM motion to drive efficiency and scalability.

  • Eliminating manual work for sales, pipeline generation, and customer engagement teams, allowing them to focus on high-value activities.

  • Rapidly prototyping, testing, and scaling AI-driven solutions that improve decision-making and accelerate revenue growth.

  • Creating a more personalized, intelligent, and automated prospect-to-customer journey, enhancing competitive differentiation and customer experience.

As the Founder in Residence, GTM Innovation, you will act as the CEO of this AI-first initiative, driving the strategy, execution, and adoption of AI-powered workflows that transform Vanta’s Go-To-Market motion. You will work cross-functionally with Sales, RevOps, Marketing, and Customer Success to identify high-impact opportunities, design AI-first solutions, and rapidly prototype and scale automation that enhances efficiency, revenue growth, and customer experience.

What you’ll do as a Founder in Residence, GTM Innovation at Vanta:

  • Own the strategy and execution of AI-first GTM workflows, acting as the CEO of this AI-first initiative to drive automation, efficiency, and revenue growth.

  • Design and prioritize high-impact AI use cases that streamline sales, pipeline generation, and customer engagement, reducing manual work across GTM teams.

  • Work closely with AI engineers, growth ops, and RevOps to prototype, test, and scale AI-powered workflows using agentic AI platforms and API-first builder tools.

  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Sales, Marketing, Customer Success, and Revenue Operations to ensure AI solutions align with business needs and drive measurable impact.

  • Establish success metrics and track performance, ensuring AI-powered automation delivers tangible results in conversion rates, efficiency, and customer experience.

  • Evangelize and drive AI adoption within the GTM organization, influencing a shift from human-capacity scaling to a tech-first, AI-powered revenue strategy at Vanta.

  • Move fast and iterate – Rapidly prototype AI-powered workflows, test them in real GTM environments, and continuously refine based on feedback and performance data.

  • Be deeply collaborative – Work cross-functionally with Sales, Marketing, Customer Success, and RevOps to ensure AI solutions solve real pain points and drive adoption.

  • Embrace AI-first thinking – Constantly challenge existing processes and identify opportunities to replace manual work with automation, shifting Vanta’s GTM motion to a tech-first, AI-powered model.
