This position is responsible for controlling Wastewater treatment plant's machines and equipment to purify and clarify water for permitted industrial uses at the Lena, WI Saputo Wastewater facility.

Typical working conditions for this position include a wastewater treatment plant and the outdoors. The job holder could be exposed to extreme weather conditions (extreme heat and cold), burns, chemicals, dangerous machinery, dirt and dust, electrical hazardous, grease and oil, loud noises, vibrations, steam and high levels of moisture, and other hazardous conditions. This position requires the job holder to lift and/or carry up to 75 pounds, climb a vertical ladder up to 30 feet, stand for long period of time, walk on uneven surfaces, regular bending, climb onto and exit a forklift in a safe manner, use of extension ladders on a daily basis, ability to climb into and maneuver body in tight spaces.
This position requires the job holder to be able to work 12 hour shifts if needed, This position requires the job holder to be able to work both day and night shifts as needed.

In this role, you will be at the forefront of ensuring that our wastewater treatment processes function smoothly, employing your skills to operate machines and equipment that purify and clarify water for permitted industrial uses. Your work will be pivotal as you'll oversee the entire operational coverage of the Saputo facility, especially during the night shift. You'll get hands-on experience running electric motors, pumps, and valves while monitoring water flow into the treatment plant. As a Wastewater Technician, you will also be responsible for collecting and testing water samples, analyzing lab data, and maintaining accurate records related to water composition. Additionally, we believe in continuous learning; therefore, you'll be expected to study to obtain your Wastewater license within your first year with us. Our team is dedicated to safety and compliance, and you'll collaborate closely with management and operators to ensure the effectiveness of our wastewater systems.
