The Visa Rules, Compliance and Standards (RCS) team establishes operating principles and enforces common interoperable rules and standards for our products and services by which clients must operate their Visa programs within the ecosystem.
This is an operational role for a seasoned individual contributor, who will be responsible for receiving rule inquiries from internal business partners as well as external clients from various regions. The responsibility is to provide Clients and staff with accurate and consistent interpretation and analysis of the Visa Rules in response to verbal or written inquiries and / or proposed Client or Merchant activities and within established service level objectives. This role may require partnership across subject matter experts and partner teams to ensure complex inquiries are handled holistically and with quality. The position will work independently under limited supervision and partner with rule authors and RCS Leaders from across the globe.
Core responsibilities include:
To provide Clients and staff with accurate interpretation and analysis of the Visa Rules in response to verbal or written inquiries and / or proposed Client or Merchant activities
Provision interpretation on all inquiries, as documented in the Visa Rules to Clients and staff
Liaise with Clients and Visa Inc. Sales Account Executives / CS Account Managers to ensure Client understanding of the Visa Rules
Strong interpersonal skills and proven abilities in influencing business partners at all levels, including strong written and verbal communications skills
Ensure all rule inquiries receive responses with highest quality standards, and within service level objective timeframes.
Management of multiple moderate to complex rule inquiry topics in partnership with Rule Authors and Regional Leads at any one time, prioritizing as appropriate.
Provide feedback and recommend enhancements based on trends identified in inquiries submitted across geographies, including implementation of automation to support the process as a first line support.
Observe and provide trends and insights across global inquiries for stakeholders and executive leadership in various roles across Visa
This is a hybrid position. Expectation of days in office will be confirmed by your hiring manager.
Basic Qualification
•2 years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or 0 years of work
in experience with an Advanced degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD, PhD)
Preferred Qualification
•Demonstrated knowledge and ability to evaluate business inquiries as it relates
to Visa Rules and relevant standards in order to provide sound, rational
responses
•Excellent written, verbal, and authoring skills to convey complex topics in an
easily understandable way
•Fluent Portuguese and English speaker and writer
•Fully computer literate in MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, MS Outlook
•Analytical aptitude and demonstrated track record of working with information
and data to develop business-oriented responses
•Responsible for ensuring all management information statistics and
performance criteria and trends are collated, analyzed, published and fed back,
as needed.
•Ability to apply a risk mindset and sound business analysis to provide
consistent and appropriate responses
•Ability to effectively work under pressure, self-challenging and adhering to tight
deadlines ensuring RCS maintains established service level objectives
•Ability to set priorities and manage expectations, and work both as part of a
team and independently with attention to detail
