TEAM

Our function, Digital Twin Platform, as one of the core Inventor Garage Solutions teams under the Woven City umbrella, develops a robust software platform to realize Woven City's vision: "Expand mobility. Enhance humanity. Engage society." This platform enables inventors to test products in virtual environments and provides analytics based on simulated and real-world data from Woven City, such as daily life, traffic, robotics, and energy usage.


Within this, the Digital Factory team applies technologies cultivated in Woven City to actual factory environments, solving challenges in the manufacturing domain and optimizing operations with real-time analytics.

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

We are seeking a passionate engineer who deeply understands the needs of manufacturing sites and can design and implement innovative solutions. In this role, you will work closely with engineers and business/product team members to directly interact with customers and deliver solutions that address on-site challenges.


The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in process planning, manufacturing preparation, operations optimization, improving data collection processes, and advancing IoT technologies. They should possess strong technical expertise and creative thinking, along with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external teams to drive project success through smooth communication.


This position reports to the sub-lead and offers a hybrid work environment.



RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Design and implementation of digital twin solutions for factories
  • Translate complex business needs into technical requirements and contribute to development within the team
  • Clearly communicate software structures, behaviors, and other critical aspects to stakeholders, driving project progress


MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
  • BS or MS in Engineering or Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • 3+ years of software engineering experience
  • Hands on experience and skills in modern languages (C++, C#, Python, JavaScript, etc.)
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Business level proficiency in Japanese and conversational level proficiency in English


NICE TO HAVES
  • Practical experience in manufacturing digital twin applications, such as Plant Simulation, FlexSim, AWS IoT TwinMaker, etc.
  • Systems design experience, with the ability to architect or explain complex systems interactions including data flows, common interfaces, APIs and other methods
  • Practical experience in optimizing factory planning and operations
  • Experience with enhancing data collection processes, and advancing IoT capabilities in factory
  • Experience with large-scale solution delivery as technical leader
  • Experience with development tools (Git,Jira, Confluence, etc. Experiences in similar tools will be considered)
  • Business level proficiency in English
