Router / Trip Coordinator

Responsibilities:
  • Manage field trip and charter business orders via email or phone, providing accurate pricing information and ensuring thorough record-keeping.
  • Plan and optimize bus routes for daily operations, field trips, and charters to enhance efficiency and reduce travel time, fuel costs, and ensure timely pick-ups and drop-offs.
  • Enter and maintain trip data and routing details in the company’s database system, ensuring accuracy and accessibility.
  • Assign drivers to routes and trips, ensuring adequate coverage and effective communication with drivers and dispatchers.
  • Generate and review trip and routing reports for management, identifying opportunities for operational improvements.
  • Coordinate with customers to invoice trips, track payments, and resolve inquiries or issues promptly.
  • Handle Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, and Payroll tasks related to charter and field trips.
  • Develop and communicate routing plans and changes to stakeholders, including drivers, dispatchers, and customers.
  • Maintain compliance with company policies, procedures, and safety standards.
  • Perform general administrative tasks such as drafting reports, filing, and correspondence as needed.
  • Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in routing efficiency and customer service.


Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; college-level coursework preferred.
  • 3-5 years of experience in a customer service environment or routing/transportation management.
  • Strong customer service, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Proficient in data entry, Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint), and routing software tools.
  • Ability to respond professionally to inquiries from customers and stakeholders
  • Experience in route planning and optimization preferred
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Highly organized and able to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Knowledge of the greater local area


$30 - $35 an hour
The targeted base salary range for this role is listed in the compensation section below. Actual salary may be above or below this range based on factors such as location, skills, and relevant experience. In addition, this position may include additional compensation in the form of bonus, equity, or commissions. If you are a full-time salaried or hourly worker, we offer the following benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision, 401(k), Holidays, Wellness, Vacation, and more. The targeted pay range for this role in $30 - 35/hr.
