Application Developer

ARETUM, a prominent government contracting company specializing in technology-enabled mission support services, is looking for a dedicated and skilled Application Developer to join our team. In this role, you will design, develop, and implement software applications that meet the needs of our federal clients.

Responsibilities

  • Ability and experience in creating applications from scratch, configuring existing systems and provide user support.
  • Proven experience in designing, developing, testing, deploying and maintaining large multi-tiered MVC style (Presentation, Business and Data Tiers) applications preferably in the federal government setting
  • Strong experience working with RDBMS concepts and programming with at least one of the following (SQL Server, MySql, Oracle)
  • Experience with Microsoft IIS Application and Web Servers and development and maintenance of including server-side APIs
  • Experience with Microsoft Active Directory concepts and Single Sign On (SSO)
  • Participate in requirements analysis and gathering
  • Collaborate with internal/government as well as external teams to produce software design and architecture using both traditional waterfall and Agile (Scrum Methodologies)
  • Write clean, scalable code using .NET programming languages
  • Knowledge and experience with front end technologies (JavaScripting, CSS, XHTML, XML, HTML, Angular, jQuery, SPA, Ajax etc.) is required as candidate will participate in these activities with the team
  • Responsible for revising, updating, refactoring and debugging code
  • Develop documentation throughout the software development life cycle (SDLC) to include Agile SOPs and release documentation as directed by the Government
  • Serve as an expert (SME) on applications (Architecture and coding) and provide technical support
  • In this role, candidate should be able to write functional code with a sharp eye for spotting defects.
  • Candidate should be a team player and excellent communicator
  • Minimum Secret Security Clearance (or Interim) is required before start.
  • A DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification (e.g., CompTIA Security + CE or equivalent) is required before start.
  • Proven experience as a .NET Developer with strong skills on ASP.NET and other .NET programming languages
  • Deep experience with the .NET framework, SQL Server and design/architectural patterns (e.g. Model-View-Controller (MVC))
  • Expertise with C#, JavaScript, and HTML5/CSS3
  • Experience with incorporating architecture styles/APIs (REST, RPC, SOA, Microservices etc.)
  • Full stack development
