Executive Pastry Chef to lead our pastry and dessert operations with creativity, precision, and excellence. This role is responsible for overseeing the production of all baked goods, desserts, and confections across our fine dining restaurants, banquets, and in-room dining. The ideal candidate will have a passion for innovation, a deep understanding of global pastry trends, and the ability to deliver world-class guest experiences.
Key Responsibilities:
Culinary Leadership:
• Develop and execute an innovative pastry and dessert menu that aligns with the hotel’s luxury standards.
• Ensure the highest quality and consistency of all pastry items, including plated desserts, breads, viennoiserie, and specialty cakes.
• Experiment with modern and classic techniques to create visually stunning and flavorful desserts.
Operations & Management:
• Oversee daily pastry kitchen operations, ensuring smooth workflow and efficiency.
• Maintain high levels of cleanliness, hygiene, and organization in compliance with health and safety regulations.
• Manage inventory, cost controls, and ordering of pastry-specific ingredients and equipment.
• Collaborate with the Executive Chef and F&B team to enhance menus and guest experiences.
Team Development:
• Recruit, train, and mentor a talented pastry team, fostering a culture of excellence and creativity.
• Conduct performance evaluations, provide feedback, and develop growth opportunities for staff.
• Inspire and motivate the team to uphold the hotel’s reputation for outstanding culinary offerings.
Guest Experience & Brand Standards:
• Customize pastry offerings for VIP guests, special events, and seasonal promotions.
• Work closely with marketing and events teams to create signature desserts and pastry-related experiences.
• Maintain a strong presence in the dining areas to interact with guests and receive direct feedback.
• Minimum 5+ years of experience as an Executive Pastry Chef or Pastry Sous Chef in a luxury hotel or Michelin-starred restaurant.
• Strong leadership and management skills with the ability to train and inspire a team.
• Knowledge of international pastry trends and dietary requirements (vegan, gluten-free, etc.).
• Exceptional attention to detail, creativity, and a passion for Culinary.
