We're seeking a talented Junior Software Engineer with high potential to grow across our full technology stack. As part of our collaborative team, you'll have the opportunity to learn and contribute to various aspects of our platform while developing your engineering skills in a supportive environment. - Contribute to feature development across our TypeScript monorepo under the guidance of senior engineers
- Gain hands-on experience with both front-end and back-end technologies
- Learn about security practices and performance considerations when building applications that handle sensitive data
- Collaborate with product, design, and engineering team members to understand user needs and implement solutions
- Develop using engineering best practices including writing tests, documentation, and maintainable code
- Participate in code reviews to improve code quality and deepen your technical understanding
- Strong computer science fundamentals and problem-solving abilities
- Enthusiasm for learning new technologies and systems
- Some experience with JavaScript/TypeScript (professional or academic projects)
- Familiarity with web and service development concepts
- Eagerness to receive feedback and continuously improve
- Ability to communicate clearly about technical concepts
- Curiosity and initiative to explore solutions independently
- Interest in the benefits/HR space and using technology to improve people's lives
- Growth mindset and willingness to step outside your comfort zone
- Experience with React and NextJS
- Experience with web services and deploying to cloud infrastructure
- Exposure to real-world SaaS production environments
- Knowledge of Git and collaborative development workflows
- Understanding of databases and basic SQL
- Interest in AI applications for business problems
- TypeScript monorepo powered by node.js
- React & Next.js for front-end applications
- DBT and Python for data engineering pipelines
- Snowflake for data warehousing
- Terraform, Terragrunt, and Kubernetes for infrastructure & deployment
- Azure cloud infrastructure
- LLM integrations for AI functionality (we're applying AI, not building it)
