Job Description
The Technical Project Manager role at CapTech is multi-faceted by the very nature of the services we provide to our clients. Success within our diverse range of clients requires the ability to adapt and perform in a wide variety of technology-driven project environments.
Specific responsibilities for the Technical Project Manager position may include, but are not limited to:
Serve as a delivery lead for cross-functional team(s), bringing together the business, the delivery team, and other stakeholders to deliver impactful business outcomes and ensure successful project delivery.
Sharing and implementing best practices from different development methodologies (ex: Waterfall, Agile, or hybrid models) as needed by project.
Establish collaborative partnerships with key stakeholders to facilitate conversations and enable decision making.
Develop and communicate integrated project plans and/or roadmaps to establish, monitor, manage, and report key milestones, risks, and deliverables.
Identify and mitigate risks to the project delivery and support the triage and resolution of critical issues that arise throughout the project.
Perform hands-on delivery work, including analysis, design, process engineering, and change management, as needed by the project.
Desire to share with and develop a community of project managers and leaders.
Typical experience for successful candidates includes:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Experience in both agile and traditional project or program management roles.
Demonstrated track record of successful management of large and complex technology projects.
Experience in successfully facilitating stakeholder discussions and driving towards specific outcomes.
Implement creative thinking and seek innovative solutions to complex technical/business problems.
Ability to establish credibility and trust with clients through excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Proficient at managing and leading diverse teams made up of people with a variety of technical skills and backgrounds, in different locations (i.e., remote and/or on-site), and from different organizations (i.e., CapTechers, client employees, and/or other vendors).
