About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Product Designer to spearhead the user experience for our critical customer-facing platforms, the Broker and Customer Portals. You will define the design vision and strategy, directly impacting how brokers, employers, and risk managers leverage our AI-powered solutions to improve workplace safety and optimize workers' compensation.

This is a high-visibility, leadership opportunity reporting directly to the Founder/CEO. You'll be instrumental in shaping our design system, driving user-centered research, and collaborating across product, engineering, and marketing to build intuitive and high-performing applications that directly contribute to our hypergrowth trajectory.

Responsibilities

  • Define and Drive Product & UX Strategy: Establish the overarching design vision and strategy for all customer-facing products, aligning with business goals and revenue impact.

  • Lead Comprehensive User Research: Conduct in-depth user research (interviews, testing, data analysis) to deeply understand customer needs and translate insights into actionable design decisions.

  • Create High-Fidelity UI/UX Designs: Develop wireframes, prototypes, and visually compelling UI designs, ensuring seamless implementation with engineering teams.

  • Establish and Maintain a Cohesive Design System: Build and refine a scalable design language and system to ensure consistency and efficiency across all applications.

  • Champion User-Centered Design and Accessibility: Advocate for human-centered design principles and ensure all applications adhere to accessibility and usability best practices.

  • Foster Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with product, engineering, and leadership teams to integrate design thinking and drive a culture of design excellence.

  • Measure and Optimize UX Performance: Define and track key UX metrics, implement A/B testing, and utilize data to continuously improve user engagement and satisfaction.

Required Experience

  • 10+ years of experience designing complex B2B SaaS or enterprise web applications.

  • A compelling portfolio demonstrating proven ability to create effective enterprise user interfaces.

  • Mastery of interaction design, usability, accessibility, and user research methodologies.

  • Expert-level skills in Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, or similar design platforms.

  • Familiarity with front-end technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) and the ability to work seamlessly with engineering teams.

  • Proven ability to influence product direction, lead design initiatives, and collaborate effectively in an agile environment.

Working at CompScience

Compensation: CompScience is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The annual salary range for this role is $170,000 – $260,000. Compensation is determined within the range based on your qualifications and experience. Our total compensation package also includes equity and comprehensive benefits.
