Manager, Analytics Engineering

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced and visionary manager of Data Engineering to lead our Data Engineering team. This team is critical to our data infrastructure, ensuring seamless data integration, robust data storage and management, efficient data pipelines, and stringent data quality and governance practices. The Director will spearhead the future vision of our data architecture while addressing immediate business needs, utilizing modern data warehousing technologies like Snowflake, data integration tools like Fivetran, and data activation platforms such as Hightouch, on our cloud provider AWS, ensuring our data infrastructure supports both current and future demands.


Key Responsibilities

Leadership and Strategy:

-Develop and execute a strategic roadmap for the Data Engineering team, balancing immediate business requirements with long-term goals.

-Lead, mentor, and manage a team of 3 Data Engineers, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional growth.

-Collaborate closely with BI & Analytics, Business Systems, and other business units to align data engineering initiatives with overall company objectives.

Data Integration:

-Oversee the integration of data from various sources, including our internal platform, Stripe, NetSuite, Maxio, SFDC, ZoomInfo, Outreach, HubSpot, and Chorus.

-Ensure seamless data flow between systems, enabling accurate and timely data availability for business operations and analytics.

Data Storage and Management:

-Design, implement, and maintain scalable and secure data storage solutions on AWS.

-Manage Snowflake, ensuring data is organized, accessible, and secure.

Data Pipeline Development:

-Lead the development and maintenance of robust data pipelines to support data ingestion, processing, and transformation.

-Ensure data pipelines are optimized for performance, scalability, and reliability.

-Implement CICD/DevOps practices to streamline the development, testing, and deployment of data pipelines.

Data Quality and Governance:

-Implement and enforce data quality standards and governance practices.

-Establish processes for data validation, cleansing, and monitoring to maintain high data quality and accuracy.

Data Stewardship:

-Promote data stewardship principles across the organization, ensuring data is managed as a valuable asset.

-Collaborate with data stewards in various business units to ensure consistent data definitions, standards, and practices.


Qualifications

-Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, or a related field.

-8+ years of experience in data engineering or a similar role, with at least 3 years in a leadership position.

-Proven experience leading best practices with data integration, ETL processes, cloud-based data warehousing on AWS, and big data technologies, including modern tools like Snowflake, Fivetran, and Hightouch.

-Strong knowledge of data governance, data quality management, and data stewardship principles.

-Excellent leadership, communication, and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across departments and levels of the organization.

-Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to balance strategic vision with practical implementation.


Preferred Qualifications

-Experience in a SaaS company or with B2B/B2C business models.

-Experience with our specific technology stack (Stripe, NetSuite, Maxio, SFDC, ZoomInfo, Outreach, HubSpot, Chorus).

-Familiarity with Gainsight or similar customer success platforms.

-Working knowledge of CICD/DevOps methodologies and tools.
