Catalog Specialist (e-Commerce)

You will be responsible for managing and optimizing our presence on various e-commerce platforms, including Amazon, Shopify, and Walmart. The role requires a detail-oriented individual with strong analytical skills to ensure the efficient resolution of account health issues, listing issues, and performance notifications. This position will play a key role in driving sales growth and operational efficiency through strategic planning, regular reporting, and continuous improvement of product listings and marketplace operations. Core responsibilities include, but not limited to, the following:

  • Account Health Management: Resolve all account health issues within 48 hours.
  • Listing Issue Resolution: Resolve all listing issues within 48 hours.
  • Performance Monitoring: Monitor and resolve all performance notifications within 48 hours.
  • Status Reporting: Provide regular marketplace operations status updates via Slack and Loom.
  • Continuous Learning: Stay up-to-date on Amazon changes and features through Amazon announcements, e-commerce trainings, newsletters, and YouTube videos.
  • Strategic Planning: Proactively strategize listing actions to maximize sessions, click-through rates (CTR), conversion rates (CVR), average order value (AOV), and gross merchandise value (GMV).
  • Account Efficiency: Proactively strategize account actions to maximize efficiency and sales.
  • Promotion Planning: Monitor and strategically plan Amazon promotions, including Lightning Deals (LDs), 7-Day Deals, Prime Day, tailored promotions, Vine, coupons, PEDs, and other promotions.
  • Data Collaboration: Work with the data department to understand Amazon sales data, resolve red flag ASINs, and manage experiments.
  • Listing Management: Create and maintain Amazon, Shopify, and Walmart listings, including pricing, creative assets, video, copy, and inventory.
  • Documentation Development: Develop detailed system documentation for marketplace operations with the help of the Systems Champion.
  • Experience:
    • Minimum of 3 years of experience in e-commerce catalog management (Amazon required)
    • Proven track record of resolving account health issues, listing issues, and performance notifications quickly and effectively
    • Experience in Shopify and Walmart Seller Center highly preferred
  • Technical Skills:
    • Strong understanding of e-commerce platforms' best practices, including listing optimization
    • Familiarity with Amazon promotions (Lightning Deals, Prime Day, Vine, etc.) and data analysis tools.
    • Comfortable with using Slack, Loom, and other communication tools for reporting and status updates.
    • Advanced proficiency in Excel or similar data analysis tools; ability to work with sales data and extract insights to drive decisions.
  • Analytical & Problem-Solving Skills:
    • Ability to quickly identify and resolve issues related to account health, performance notifications, and product listings.
    • Experience in monitoring and improving key performance indicators (KPIs) such as click-through rate (CTR), conversion rate (CVR), average order value (AOV), and gross merchandise value (GMV).
  • Communication & Collaboration:
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively report and collaborate across teams (Operations, Product Development, Customer Support, etc.).
    • Ability to create clear, detailed system documentation to support marketplace operations.
  • Project Management:
    • Strong ability to proactively plan and execute e-commerce strategies to maximize listing effectiveness and sales performance.
    • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines efficiently.
  • Learning & Development:
    • Commitment to staying up-to-date with e-commerce trends, Amazon updates, and new features through training, newsletters, and other resources.
    • Willingness to continuously improve knowledge and apply best practices in the e-commerce landscape.
  • Creativity & Attention to Detail:
    • Proven experience in developing and maintaining listings with accurate product descriptions, pricing, creative assets, and video content.
    • High attention to detail to ensure accuracy in product listings, promotions, and account health status.
