The Role

As a Senior UX/UI Designer at Ferryhopper, you will be a key player in shaping our product's future. This role is a blend of interaction design, visual design, and strategic product planning. You will enhance customer satisfaction by improving the usability and aesthetic appeal of our online products, aligning with Ferryhopper's strategic goals, brand values, and style. A user-centric approach is fundamental to everything you do.

Discovery & Strategy

  • Understand, align and define the product’s strategic goals, user needs and technical constraints that define the UX/UI space.
  • Identify and analyze the pain points of the UX/UI flow and propose solutions.
  • Conduct market research and competitor analysis to inform design decisions and ensure Ferryhopper stays ahead in the industry.
  • Collaborate with product managers and team members to brainstorm design solutions and approaches.
  • Utilize data analytics tools to measure the impact of design changes on user behavior and product performance, ensuring data-driven decision making.

Design, prototype & test

  • Produce wireframes of the proposed solution to gather initial feedback.
  • Produce, present and review high-resolution designs, aligned with the company’s visual identity.
  • Build prototypes using Figma to evaluate product flow and user experience.
  • Work alongside UX researchers to create user testing scenarios, gathering feedback to inform design decisions.

Deliver for development & continuous monitoring

  • Annotate design deliverables to ensure the design intent is clearly communicated to the development team.
  • Provide detailed specifications for feature behavior, facilitating efficient development.
  • Oversee the implementation of designs, ensuring they meet both business objectives and user needs.
  • Participate in post-launch analysis to assess the success of design implementations, using findings to guide future design strategies.

What we are looking for:

  • At least 4 years designing experience on Web and/or Mobile applications.
  • Professional experience with design & prototyping tools, preferably Figma.
  • Passion about achieving great UX using user data.
  • Experience in utilizing UX research to make design decisions.
  • Excellent visual design skills and a detail-oriented approach.
  • Good understanding of CSS & HTML would be an asset.
  • Comfortable working in an iterative design process.
  • Experience working within design and development teams in an agile environment.
