Operations Trainer

PURPOSE AND SCOPE:

We seek a dynamic and experienced Corporate Trainer specializing in healthcare to join our organization. The ideal candidate will design, deliver, and evaluate training programs for employees and clients in various healthcare settings. The Corporate Trainer will ensure that healthcare staff have the knowledge and skills to perform their duties effectively, comply with regulatory standards, and provide exceptional Member/Provider Experience.

The Corporate Trainer is responsible for training, implementing, and educating our staff and clients on all HealthAxis systems that will support business needs.

 

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:

  • Create comprehensive training materials, courses, and workshops for multiple lines of healthcare business: Medicare, Medicaid, Commercial, and ACA.

  • Stay current with industry changes, compliance regulations, and new healthcare technologies to incorporate into training.

  • Customize training programs based on the organization's needs, including those for new hires, new clients, train-the-trainer, continuous refresher training, and specialty-specific training.

  • Analyze the effectiveness of current training programs and make recommendations for improvement.

  • Keep up with advancements in healthcare practices, technologies, and trends to ensure training materials remain relevant and practical.

  • Participate in evaluating and developing new technologies and tools to improve training delivery.

  • Maintain accurate records of training programs, schedules, and outcomes.

  • Prepare and submit regular reports on training activities, performance evaluations, and compliance issues to management.

  • Document best practices, training successes, and areas for improvement.

  • Evaluate the overall technical needs of Health Plans for Medical Claim Adjudication System and EHRS (Electronic Health Record System) and explain the scope of work to developers for customizing specification needs.

  • Create training modules based on identified needs and the client’s workflow (e.g., using case studies, role-playing, and simulations specific to the healthcare setting).

  • Assisting with writing instructions and guiding/training clients regarding usage; testing all modules per the test plans.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND REQUIRED SKILLS:

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university majoring in health care, education, business or related field. Or equivalent experience.

  • Working knowledge of the Healthcare industry.

  • At least 1 to 2 years of direct experience training healthcare organizations focused on Commercial, Medicaid, Medicare, or ACA lines of business.  As well as any medical claim adjudication and/or EHRS platform. 

  • Experience training end-users on BPaaS, BPO or SaaS platforms focusing on Enrollment, Billing, Call Center, Configuration, UM, A&G, Medical Claim Adjudication or EHR Systems.  

  • Ability to explain complex concepts in simple terms.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and learning management systems (LMS).

  • Take initiative and action to respond, resolve, and follow up regarding training concerns or gaps.

  • Strong communication, presentation, interpersonal, organizational and time management skills. 

  • Ability to perform well under pressure and manage internal and client expectations. 

  • Up to 25 % travel is required for client training.

  • Self-learner with the ability to easily learn new software programs. 

  • Candidates should be able to work independently, demonstrate exceptional communication and listening skills, understand customer needs, and develop appropriate solutions.
