Backend Process Focal Array Technician

General Description:

As a process technician you will be hands-on sustaining activities in backend processing area for Focal Plane Arrays.


Essential Duties:

Work in clean room environment performing production processing steps, such as die cleaning, epoxy application, semiconductor equipment operation, die thinning, hybridization (flip chip), microscope measurements, precision alignment mounting and assembly processes for sensor chip assemblies onto packages Performs inspections and verifies critical dimensions Supports efforts to identify and correct root cause of damage Works safely at all times and promptly reports anything found unsafe in clean room Inspects work in accordance with Quality Assurance standards and follows detailed work instructions and drawings Tracking lab equipment information including calibration schedules, open work orders, and equipment status using statistical software Stocking and maintaining inventory for consumables Scheduling asset calibrations


Required Skills:  

This position requires candidates that are able to work their entire shift within a clean room laboratory wearing appropriate personal protective equipment. Must be able to follow detailed instructions, pay attention to detail, and accurately enter data. 

Detail oriented, problem solver, promotes team environment Demonstrate a sense of urgency in completing work assignments

Time management and organizational skills Ability to instantly adapt to a flexible and changing schedule Computer/software skills (i.e. Outlook, Excel, Word) Strong communication skills


Required Education:

High School Diploma required. Associates degree preferred.


Physical Requirements:

Must be able to work within a cleanroom environment wearing personal protective equipment to include lab coveralls, chemical apron, hood, facemask, hairnets, safety gloves and goggles

Walking and/or standing may be required for 70-80% of the day

Must possess motor skills appropriate to the task

Must be able to lift/push/pull 25-30 pounds consistently

Compensation:

The pay range for this position is $31.54 - $38.48 per hour + bonus + benefits.

Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
