As UI/UX Product Designer at Jupiter you will design, prototype and create SaaS products, modules and features with intuitive simplicity. Our goal is to successfully deliver data-driven, user-friendly designs from concept to delivery in a fast-paced, collaborative, and fun environment. You will work closely within the Product team and collaborate extensively with Engineering, Science and Solution groups, as well as Sales and Marketing to give life to new product concepts and manage User Experience throughout the product life cycle.


What You Will Do:
  • Conduct UX Research, creating designs (inclusive of A/B testing), supporting customer interviews, generating prototypes and develop recommendations for products and modules on the Jupiter roadmap
  • Create high-fidelity product designs and requirement documentation that can be passed along to developers to build
  • Participate in all development ceremonies and groups (as needed) to ensure that designs are built and tested as smoothly as seamlessly as possible
  • Own and maintain a design system of reusable design components (including style guides, color palettes, iconography and design patterns) that ensure developers have guidance to create consistent user experiences. 
  • Establish and communicate effective design processes through a strong understanding of User Interaction Design principles.  
  • Establish a deep understanding of customer pain points and business challenges with a cross-functional team of scientists, product managers and engineers.
  • Create user-centered designs by considering feedback from constituents including interviewing and iterating with users
  • Develop conceptual diagrams, wireframes, visual mockups and clickable prototypes.
  • Design the visual style and simple interaction flows of applications and elegant experiences.
  • Deliver storyboards, flowcharts, prototypes, and design specifications.
  • Assist in prioritization of tasks and planning iterations.

What You Bring:
  • 5+ years of relevant work experience in developing consumer-like experiences for business/enterprise users, especially in the financial services/data space.
  • A stellar portfolio of relevant design work that clearly demonstrates expertise in data-heavy, business-to-business software offerings.
  • BS/BA in Design, UI, UX, Visual Design, HCI or related degree.
  • Strong proficiency with interactive design and prototyping tools such as Figma, Framer, etc. 
  • Understanding of the capabilities and best practices relating to the use of front-end Web technologies including HTML, CSS, React and Material UI. 
  • Experience with scripting languages such as JavaScript, CoffeeScript, etc. is a major plus. 
  • Familiarity with agile development methods, particularly Scrum.


$65 - $75 an hour
