Senior Director of Supply Chain Strategy

Our client is seeking a Senior Director of Supply Chain Strategy to lead the development and execution of comprehensive supply chain strategies that enhance operational efficiency and drive competitive advantage. This position will focus on optimizing all aspects of the supply chain, from sourcing and procurement to logistics and distribution.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement strategic supply chain initiatives that align with overall business goals.
  • Conduct comprehensive analyses of supply chain processes to identify opportunities for optimization and cost reduction.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including operations, finance, and marketing, to ensure alignment on strategic objectives.
  • Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to monitor supply chain performance and make data-driven decisions.
  • Lead supplier negotiations to secure favorable terms, pricing, and service levels while ensuring quality standards.
  • Oversee risk management strategies related to supply chain disruptions and establish contingency plans.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the supply chain to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends and best practices to leverage new technologies and methodologies in supply chain management.
  • Mentor and develop supply chain team members, fostering a culture of high performance and accountability.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field; MBA preferred.
  • 10+ years of experience in supply chain management, with a focus on strategy development and execution.
  • Proven leadership skills with experience in managing cross-functional teams.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Experience with supply chain technologies and software solutions.
  • Knowledge of Lean and Six Sigma methodologies is desirable.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
