Every employee takes a person-centered approach that exemplifies the ICARE values (Integrity, Compassion, Accountability, Respect, and Excellence) through empathic communication and partnerships between all persons.Job DescriptionPURPOSE OF POSITIONProvide clinical services to adults in the Substance Use and Recovery ClinicAreas Of ResponsibilitiesAOPDSummary Of Duties And Responsibilities• Performs intake evaluations and initial assessments for Adults referred to SUR.• Serves as Primary Therapist for adults in the SUR, completing Intake Forms, Psychological Databases, Initial Treatment Plans, Progress Notes, Discharge Summaries, and other necessary paperwork. Performs Crisis Intervention, and intensive, Short Term, Individual, and Group Psychotherapy and Psycho-educational Groups with outpatients as indicated.• Participates in multidisciplinary treatment team, attending Staff and Team Meetings, etc.• Assists with referral activities for individuals not accepted to the AOPD for Services, advocacy activities for assigned outpatients, and discharge planning activities for assigned outpatients who are terminating from the program. Assists in training of psychology trainees as appropriate/indicated by the Director of Psychological Services. Engages in collateral work, courts, and other social agencies. Performs Mental Status Examinations.• Serves as a consultant to multidisciplinary team regarding psychological, neuropsychological, and psycho-educational evaluations, as indicated. Serves as a consultant to the Psychiatric Emergency Rooms. Participates in supervision of junior psychologist, program development, and quality improvement projects.
