Product Marketing Manager

Proof is the world's first identity-assured transaction management platform and we are on a mission to digitize trust for all of life’s most critical transactions. Developed by the same market leaders and experts who brought notarization online with Notarize℠, Proof offers trust in a digital world by verifying identities and securing transactions to protect businesses and their customers. Since 2015, we’ve completed many of the world’s first digital commerce transactions, including the first online real estate closing, online mortgage closing, online auto sale, and online will and we're still just getting started!

As our first Product Marketing Manager, you'll manage content strategy and go-to-market plans for Proof's suite of products.  Reporting to our VP, Product, you'll have the chance to make a major impact by developing a deep understanding of our customers and their challenges and then turning those insights into compelling messages, value props, launches, and sales enablement materials. Not only will your audiences be external, but you’ll also play a key role in helping our internal teams understand how our products are evolving while staying continuously up to date about the latest releases and updates. Being entrepreneurial, empathic, collaborative, and passionate about building new programs from scratch are all critical to this role.

What you’ll do as the Product Marketing Manager at Proof:
  • Create the strategic narrative for the product vision and roadmap. Tell a story via content like blog posts, webinar, whitepaper, customer presentations, social media, etc.
  • Develop a deep understanding of our target markets, including buyer personas, key use cases, and customer needs
  • Develop product marketing strategy for customer events and industry conferences.
  • Simply and clearly articulate the company value proposition and competitive differentiators in all internal and external content at the product and solution levels
  • Work closely with a range of cross-functional stakeholders across product, engineering, design, marketing, PR, and customer success to develop go-to-market strategy plans and execute launches of new products and services
  • Build and support rollout plans geared to increase awareness and adoption of new features and updates for both internal audiences at Proof and external customers and prospects so customers know what’s coming when
  • Create compelling, comprehensive, and easy-to-understand external marketing content and sales enablement collateral that scale our GTM programs
  • Engage with the sales team to ensure they are informed on product positioning and equipped to deliver consistent, competitive messaging to the right customers
  • Conduct competitive intelligence & market research studies and analyze their findings to understand customer and market opportunities for future GTM programs
  • Draw on qualitative and quantitative insights to understand product adoption, usage, and retention across customer segments
  • Communicate effectively and often to ensure all stakeholders are aligned

What we’re looking for:
  • 5 years of marketing experience (B2B/SaaS environment) primarily focused on product marketing
  • Great storyteller, with an eye for information design and can produce their own content and copy
  • Someone who is fantastic at creating customer presentations and product pitch decks
  • Experienced with new content creation tools including experimenting with AI
  • Demonstrated ability to successfully launch new products and features in market and deliver on KPIs
  • Experience managing and developing new product marketing programs with clear data-driven results
  • Partnering with engineering to deeply understand how the product works and can talk about APIs, SDKs and integrations as comfortably as customer-facing features
  • Strong user empathy and passion for helping others reduce stress
  • Comfort being very hands-on in creating a range of marketing assets, which includes owning the creative design, audio or video content
  • Ability to flex between creative and analytical modes; as comfortable designing a campaign as you are digging for insights in a dataset
  • Strength in translating complex technical concepts into compelling messaging for all audiences, from C-level to frontline operations
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate and work cross-functionally with analytical, business operations, and creative teams
  • Experience at a startup or midstage organization
  • Bonus points if you have a background in FinTech, Identity or FraudTech

You’ll really stand out if you have:
  • Proficiency in new AI-based content creation tools
  • Experience working in eSignature or Identity
  • Technical background or experience as a Product Manager
  • Established social media presence in our industry
  • Experience in public speaking or is able to participate in PR events

Our Pillars:
  • Pave the Way: When obstacles arise, we break through barriers with passion and perseverance. We lead with creativity and forward-thinking. We aim to set new standards and shape the future in a repeatable, scalable way so the path to success is easier for our team to follow.
  • Own It: We embrace the responsibility that comes with supporting life's most important transactions. When a problem arises we relentlessly pursue the solution with a 'Yes before no' attitude. Because every problem and every transaction is treated like it's our own.
  • Act with Integrity: We are in the business of building trust and it is at the core of everything we do. We are honest and transparent with our customers, each other and ourselves. If we make a mistake, we own up to it right away and do what it takes to make it right. Our dedication to security and compliance is key to earning trust, fighting fraud and ultimately, our success.
  • Play to Win: We believe excellence is about always striving to be better so when we get it wrong, we iterate, we learn and we grow. We know we can only go so far alone, we're better together and collectively, we win!

Here are some of our great benefits:
  • Medical, dental, and vision benefits
  • Life insurance, long and short-term disability coverage
  • 401k Plan with a 4% match, beginning on your hire date
  • Unlimited Sick and Vacation time
  • 14 paid company holidays
