Role Summary
Replit is seeking an Accountant to support our growing finance team in managing day-to-day accounting operations. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, high-growth environment and enjoys building scalable processes. As an integral part of our finance function, you'll handle financial reporting, reconciliations, and compliance while working cross-functionally to improve efficiency.
In this role you will…
Own month-end and quarter-end close processes, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting.
Reconcile general ledger accounts and manage financial statements in compliance with GAAP.
Assist in accounts payable, accounts receivable, and expense management.
Support audits, tax filings, and regulatory compliance efforts.
Complete payroll for employees and contractors
Develop and document accounting policies and procedures to improve efficiency.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., People Ops, Legal, and Engineering) on financial processes.
Contribute to system improvements and automation efforts within the finance function.
Required skills and experience:
3+ years of accounting experience in a high-growth startup or SaaS company.
Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP and financial reporting.
Experience with month-end close, reconciliations, and financial statement preparation.
Proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets for financial modeling and analysis.
Detail-oriented with a strong ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Nice to have:
CPA or progress toward CPA certification.
Experience with tax compliance, sales tax, and international accounting.
Exposure to venture-backed startup financial operations.
Experience automating finance workflows or implementing new accounting tools.
Able to perform queries using SQL or experience with Python
