Rutter is the leading B2B2B unified API company, enabling fintechs and banks to seamlessly integrate with SMB financial data. Our platform powers the next generation of embedded finance by providing integrations across accounting, commerce, HRIS, ads, banking, and more—helping fintech companies build financial products that save SMBs time and money.
Our mission is to power the solutions that help SMBs thrive, by making it faster, easier, and more reliable for fintechs to access and sync SMB customer data.
We're backed by top investors, including Andreessen Horowitz (a16z), Y Combinator, Basis Set Ventures, Haystack, and Mischief Capital.
We’re trusted by a top 10 U.S. bank, a top 3 global digital payment processor, and fintech leaders like Mercury, Payoneer, and Airwallex.
We're looking for an associate product manager to champion our unified API product's coverage. You'll collaborate with our lead product manager and engineering team to shape and deliver the key endpoints that power our integration ecosystem.
This is an in-person NYC role based in the Flatiron District in Manhattan. You'll be part of a fast-paced, collaborative team making real impact for businesses everywhere.
Define and deliver new endpoints and platforms that expand our unified API's capabilities.
Engage directly with customers to understand their integration challenges and validate solutions.
Partner with engineering to translate customer needs into technical specifications and features.
Build relationships with third-party platforms to secure developer credentials and access needed for our team to build new integrations.
Work closely with our Lead PM and VP Revenue to prioritize new integrations based on customer demand and strategic value.
Must haves:
1-3+ years of experience working in tech. This is a product management role, so prior experience as a PM is valuable, but we’re also excited to speak with folks coming from roles like engineering, solutions architecture, or tech support who are looking to make a transition.
Strong technical background. Our product is an API built on top of other APIs, so you must be comfortable diving into technical documentation, discussing implementation approaches with engineers, and thinking like the developers who use our product.
Great communication and organization skills. You know how to break down problems, write clear user stories with acceptance criteria, and move features through the development lifecycle.
Experience collaborating with customers in a B2B environment, including the ability to translate complex concepts for different audiences.
NYC-based and excited about our collaborative in-office culture. We work from our Flatiron office 3 days a week.
Bonus points:
Prior experience with accounting systems or financial data, or a strong desire to learn!
Startup experience, especially at Series A or earlier stages.
Passion for fintech and building for technical buyers.
Experience working on API products or developer tools.
Unfortunately, visa sponsorship is not available for this role.
