Ability to comprehend basic math
Ability to operate power tools in a safe manner
Must be able to follow repair process
Must be able to twist, stoop, squat, reach above shoulder level and crouch on a frequent basis
Must be able to use proper techniques to lift a minimum of 75 lbs
Capable of standing and walking for extended periods of time (at least 2 hours straight, four times in an 8-hour day)
Able to use hands and feet simultaneously and perform repetitive movements
Safely and securely repair pallets at a rate that meets company standards and in a manner that meets company safety standards
Operate a pry bar to detach damaged boards from the pallets
Operate a hammer, grinder and a saw to remove existing nails and use a 25 lb nail gun to nail together the components
Manually lift 70 lb pallets from a stack to a repair table
Pallet must meet and pass CHEP's quality control audit
Maintain a clean, neat, and orderly work area
Conduct operations in a manner which promotes safety
Comply with OSHA and MSDS Standards
Must wear all safety equipment while repairing pallets

This is a permanent, full-time position with amazing opportunities to learn and grow in a state-of-the-art manufacturing environment. As a Warehouse Pallet Repair expert, you’ll be working with innovative tools like nail guns, saws, and grinders to ensure the pallets we handle are safe and sturdy. Your typical week will involve working second shift from Tuesday to Friday, which gives you long weekends to enjoy. The hourly pay starts at $15.00, with the potential to earn additional piece-rate pay after your training is completed. At Ryder, safety comes first; we provide all safety gear, and our dedicated leadership ensures you feel supported while working. An ideal candidate will possess a high school diploma or equivalent, have some carpentry or construction knowledge, and demonstrate the ability to work with power tools efficiently.
