Software Tester Principal job at SAIC. Virginia.DescriptionSAIC's Full Stack Delivery Services are seeking a detail-oriented Software Test Engineer to join our dynamic team. As a SW Test Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality of our web applications through manual testing and the development of automated tests. You will collaborate closely with product managers, developers, and other stakeholders to deliver high-quality software products. This opportunity can be remote.Key Responsibilities:• Perform manual testing of web applications to identify issues and bugs.• Develop and execute test cases, test plans, and test scripts.• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure quality throughout the software development lifecycle.• Write and maintain automated tests using industry-standard frameworks.• Participate in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospective meetings.• Report bugs and errors to development teams and follow up to ensure they are resolved.• Conduct regression testing after bug fixes and enhancements.• Document test cases and results thoroughly.• Stay up to date with new testing tools and test strategies.Qualifications• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).• Candidate must be U.S Citizen and have the ability to get a Secret Clearance.• 9+ years of experience in software quality assurance or testing web applications.• Solid understanding of QA methodologies, tools, and processes.• Experience with automated testing tools and frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Cypress, etc.).• Proficiency in writing clear, concise, and comprehensive test plans and test cases.• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, agile environment.• Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git) is a plus.Target salary range: $120,001 - $160,000.
