Role and Responsibilities

The Director, Home Entertainment Sales role will lead the Home Entertainment T1 Distribution Account sales team. The leader manages a team of 4 driving roughly $400m in MP across multiple categories with unique KPIs.

  • Drive MP and YoY growth for Home Entertainment categories (TV, Home Audio, and Memory) via sell-in to Samsung’s Tier 1 Distribution dealers.
  • Develop an executive relationship with each of the T1 Distribution accounts in the Home Entertainment category leaders
  • Support the Executive Director of Sales and VP of National Retail Sales to drive Home Entertainment sell-in and sell-out
  • Manage best-in-class SCM practices, including but not limited to CPFR and joint business planning
  • Work back with the T2 and indirect account sales leaders to support an end to end sell in sell-in/sell-out process.
  • Manage a diverse team of individual contributors assigned to specific distributors to deliver on category and division goals
  • Support cross-functional leaders in delivering on Home Entertainment and Samsung corporate goals and KPIs.

Skills and Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience, including Military / Civil Service
  • Advanced understanding of the principles and application of supply chain management
  • Experience in CRM, business analytics, and data mining to develop target accounts
  • Experience with various channel routes to market: e-tail, National and Regional Retail, Solution Providers, National Solution Providers, and Integrators
  • Financial acumen, including but not limited to P&L management, channel margin, trailing credits, & product lifecycle (PLC) based price management

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Expertise in Distribution sales, contract management, and negotiation
  • Direct and indirect people management
  • Employee development and training
  • Having worked at or sold to a major IT distributor
  • Experience at a major CE / IT vendor
  • Knowledge of/understanding of HE categories such as consumer TV and Home Audio, professional displays, and consumer displays.
  • Balancing expectations and KPIs of multiple sub-categories across the Home Entertainment Division
  • Contribute to funding decisions across a portfolio of T1 partners to maximize return on investment.

Remote role eligible, NY/NJ area preferred: The salary range for this role will vary among specific regions due to geographic differentials in the labor market, and actual pay will be determined considering factors such as relevant skills and experience, and comparison to other employees in the role.  However, the salary ranges in the following regions are expected to be as follows:

  • Colorado: $205,000 to $225,000
  • NYC: $235,000 to $255,000
  • Washington State: $225,000 to $245,000
  • California: $235,000 to $255,000
