Responsibilities

The Director of Pharmacy is responsible for organizing and supervising all aspects of daily pharmacy operations to ensure safe medication management processes throughout the hospital. Manages budgets for pharmacy staff and inventory. Establishes communication with physicians and staff to ensure proper patient care. Keeps abreast of technological and clinical practice changes and implements improvements as necessary. Ensures compliance with all applicable regulatory agencies as well as with hospital policy and procedures.

Qualifications

Education and Work Experience

  • Current state Registered Pharmacy License.
  • At least 5 years Hospital Pharmacy experience with at least 2 years administrative experience.
  • B.S. degree in Pharmacy required.
  • Doctor of Pharmacy or Master's Degree in Pharmacy or related field preferred.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills required.
  • Experience with hospital pharmacy computer systems, spreadsheets, word processing programs, and other databases required.

    Shasta Regional Medical Center offers competitive compensation and a comprehensive benefits package that provides employees the flexibility to tailor benefits according to their individual needs. Our Total Rewards package includes, but is not limited to, paid time off, a 401K retirement plan, medical, dental, and vision coverage, tuition reimbursement, and many more voluntary benefit options.  Benefits may vary based on employment status, i.e. full-time, part-time, per diem or temporary.  A reasonable compensation estimate for this role, which includes estimated wages, benefits, and other forms of compensation, is $135,408.00 to $182,249.60 on an annualized basis. The exact starting compensation to be offered will be determined at the time of selecting an applicant for hire, in which a wide range of factors will be considered, including but not limited to, skillset, years of applicable experience, education, credentials and licensure.
